Did anyone else take ages to find the hidden cage (down the tiny corridor, above the bouncy cobwebs) in the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, and wonder if there was a way to avoid falling through the floor and get past the pillars to find them? Specifically, I used to look at the Hall of Doors where there are similar pillars on the opposite side to the right (around the U-bend) and wonder if there was a secret path to another level (I'm not sure which one I thought it was).

I can't see which version and the specific place of the level you are talking about but if you want you can check my Youtube channel and look for the videos of that level.
Thanks, but I just mean that I saw some pillars next to another level (probably the next Sanctuary), later in the Hall of Doors, which I thought may be a hint that there was a way to avoid the collapsing floor and continue past the pillars after it. This was on the N64 version, although I think the Hall is the same in them all?
Anyway, I did feel quite silly for taking so long to find the hidden corridor where the Lums really are. I'm not sure if I only found out about it after reading a guide, but I don't think so. I remember being worried that I would never find them! I'm sure I probably thought at least once “My game must be broken.”
I'd help since I've gotten 100%, but the 'hall of doors' kinda gives it away that you're playing one of the versions that isn't Revolution... so I can't help ya... sorry. xD;
I don't need help; I did say I eventually found the cage. I was just describing a silly idea I had when younger, and wondering if anyone else had thought the same.

It turns out that VMI files aren’t really saves – they’re just sort of link files that tell the Dreamcast where to download the corresponding VMS files, which actually are saves. There was an unofficial Dreamcast disc created years ago called ‘VMU Backup Disc’, which contained hundreds of VMS files that you could copy onto your VMU – including the Rayman 2 minigames. I was able to find a GDI of the VMU Backup Disc on the internet and use it in nullDC to get the minigames onto a virtual VMU. With VMU Manager I was able to create a virtual VMU which contained nothing but the three minigames, just for the sake of convenience.

I see, thank you a lot. I only touched in a Dreamcast three single times on my life so I didn't know a lot how this console fully worked but from the websites I visited to try to solve this problem, no one had the solution.

Saestrol uploaded them ages ago.
It's true.
By the way, I've finished recording the minigames, I'm currently uploading them on YouTube. When they're ready I'll put here the link.
Bagged Rayman 2 on the N64 with map and everything, man even the manual's in lovely condition, but there's a pic of Razorbeard and his lackeys inside it that I don't think has been seen on the net before and when I get a moment I'll scan it.
Sometimes manuals and other extras do get lost by the time they get resold but I guess I was lucky to have those inside, I got it real cheap too. I've been playing it today and I noticed some slight differences in level design [ie that bit in the Fairy Glade with the pump doesn't have that pit with the piranhas jumping out] but that's about it so far. Oh and completely different sound engine haha

Not completely true, some little changes are there (for example, in the fairy glade, the place with the trampoline grid, laser, switch and door, the door is replaced by lasers.

You must download NullDC 1.0.4., it is available on their official site. This version has the problem fixed.

That I am not currently reminding... But I know it is massively equal to PC.
