Yeah getting on took longer for me than usual.
Re: Rayman PC IRC (group-chat instant-messenging)
I thought it was a little slower here too, but didn't took too much notice of it

Yeah that "Loading process" thing always goes slow for some reason. Might be a bug...

Re: Rayman PC IRC (group-chat instant-messenging)
How much longer? I think it's rather worth it anyway.
Re: Rayman PC IRC (group-chat instant-messenging)
I guess there are more members that enjoy toilet seat avatars.

Don't worry, he's just a dumbass.
Re: Rayman PC IRC (group-chat instant-messenging)
That I already noticed. At least there are spammers that never more appear after getting a changed avatar, which is an inteligent act.DesLife wrote:Don't worry, he's just a dumbass.

Re: Rayman PC IRC (group-chat instant-messenging)
I have experienced something nasty today...
One of the genuine Mibbit staff members warned me about trying to gain administrative privileges on the whole Mibbit servers. Since I am not using the Mibbit webclient other than public places, I mostly join the channel by using ordinary IRC clients such as mIRC or Trillian (Windows), Adium (Mac), Pidgin (Linux) and AndChat (Android). At the moment, I was using Pidgin, which have some IRC extensions enabled to autojoin the channel so I don't have to do it manually everytime, but one of those extensions must have attempted to gain the priviledges, since I accidentally filled out the "Operator Password" field. I have changed everything afterwards.

Those morons are completely fucked up if they feel butthurt about simple entries in their logfiles. And why not use a filter then? I will leave Mibbit completely and search for alternatives if something like this ever happens again, because I will not use IP spoofing to chat with you guys.(15:45:01) Hercule [[email protected]] entered the room.
(15:45:49) Hercule: PowerPatrick: please stop trying to oper, you are not allowed to, you are not a server admin
(15:46:09) PowerPatrick: wtf
(15:46:38) PowerPatrick: staff.mibbit....
(15:46:46) Hercule: check your client settings
(15:46:48) PowerPatrick: Well, what's the problem?
(15:46:59) Hercule: we dont like it
(15:47:15) PowerPatrick: I'm simply using Pidgin with IRC extensions on Ubuntu.
(15:47:33) Hercule: irc.uk.mibbit.net Failed OPER attempt by PowerPatrick (patrick@************************.webspeed.dk) [unknown oper]
(15:47:51) PowerPatrick: Yes, looks like me.
(15:47:54) Hercule: stop it or you will be removed from this server
(15:48:06) PowerPatrick: I'm not doing anything wrong?
(15:48:16) Hercule: read the docs for your client
(15:48:27) PowerPatrick: Yes, but what is your problem? You will remove me because of entries in your logfiles?
(15:49:01) Hercule: tke it as a warning, bye
(15:49:05) Hercule left the room.

Was this on my IRC or the "main" one? Whatever it is, they're freaking out over nothing obviously.
