If you live in BC in Canada, you've probably heard about this.
I've recently said on an occasion that a friend of mine, (she's 16) was heavily abused, leaving her in the hospital. I thought this was absolutely terrible, and it was. I'd never seen something so vile happen to a person I knew before. Emotional breakdowns were obviously involved. But that's not where it stops. No....
Yesterday, the offenders uploaded a video of her being raped to Facebook, and somehow it bypassed security. I can't believe it.
Oh but the video was terrible, it involved lots and lots of pain, screaming, and a complete overhaul of the English language in terms if vulgarity. The WORST thing I have ever seen.
And of course it was quickly spread around the web, 50,000 people downloading it per day because they'll find it exciting to watch my friend get raped to the point where she becomes a motionless, sprawled, helpless, damaged, tainted figure, and then show it to their friends and laugh at it.
You imagine seven guys going up to you, grabbing you, all flinging you against the concrete, destroying you, and getting at you by whatever means necessary, and running away will only result in getting grabbed by the hair and slammed against the floor with blood scrapes running down your back. And there being nothing... NOTHING you can do to get out of it. Those precious seconds you have looking away are covered up in a split second.
