Re: Rayman Origins
Oh that's by the same dudes that made that magazine that had the Rayman SNES article in. I kept hearing they'd make an English version of this but I could be wrong. x:
Re: Rayman Origins
I just hope they do. But the biographie was released in october this year. Maybe they are at the moment working on a good translation.

Re: Rayman Origins
So the biography is actually coming out then? Lovely. I would stop at nothing to read it, you know.
Oh, and we need someone to scan the latest Pix’N Love. You can tell by looking at the low-res excerpts that it’s full of information regarding Ancel’s early career and his little-known games, as well as new information about the SNES Rayman, the final version, Rayman Origins and perhaps more. It is kind of annoying how we still don’t have a translation of the previous issue, but those things do not matter. It will come eventually. We must concentrate on gathering these things.

Re: Rayman Origins
*gives MasterHero a dirty look*
I'm actually quite close to finishing the translation, but time IS scarce. (Spiral, you're not missing much really - rather interesting though.) I wish a native speaker had picked up the job instead.
Never mind - I'm looking forward to the info in this new Pix'n Love. As long as an English version eventually arrives.
... and did I just see a French member rant about it being a Spring 2011 release, and no confirmed PC version?
Could be my imagination, i'm seeing French everywhere right now.

Re: Rayman Origins
I already saw it, and thumbed up too.spiraldoor wrote:I even started a miniature comment campaign for another update on their YouTube video, which has gotten many thumbs up but still does not seem to be working. We simply need more updates.
(Oh dear, my very first comment in the video has already 40 thumbs up? Oo)
I also commented something, again, in the video.

Re: Rayman Origins
Almost every comment I make on that video gets loads of thumbs up for some reason.
Re: Rayman Origins
Because they agree. As simple as that.spiraldoor wrote:Almost every comment I make on that video gets loads of thumbs up for some reason.
I noticed you posted it 6 days ago, but I wonder if 6 days were enough to the team making an update. I fear it got ignored...

I think they don't even read or respond to anything commented to one of their videosHaruka wrote:Because they agree. As simple as that.spiraldoor wrote:Almost every comment I make on that video gets loads of thumbs up for some reason.

Re: Rayman Origins
I’m surprised they haven’t disabled comments on their YouTube videos like they did on their blog.
Re: Rayman Origins
I was refering to the Youtube users who read the comments, not the channel's owner.Tenderz wrote:I think they don't even read or respond to anything commented to one of their videosHaruka wrote:Because they agree. Re: Rayman Origins
Some news:
The next apperance of Ancel: 18th of November in Montpellier on the IDATE video game seminar.
He'll talk about this:
Well it has nothing to do with Rayman or BGE but he is alive, at least
I think it is related to Ubiart somehow...
Also i think it is an iteresting topic. Hopefully someone will record it
@Jewish Candy: Great
Keep on.

http://www.digiworldsummit.com/2010/pag ... d=1&idl=22New forms of convergence between cinema, animation and video games
There are many areas where cinema, animation and video games overlap (licences, crafts, scripting, storytelling, production…). But to what extent do these translate into a convergence of the film and gaming industries?

Re: Rayman Origins
Interesting... it appears Eric Chahi will be speaking on the same subject. I assume Chahi’s Project Dust, which is being developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, will be discussed. Beyond Good & Evil 2 (‘storytelling’ etc) will certainly be mentioned, and there is also the possibility of some new word on Rayman Origins (‘crafts’).
Re: Rayman Origins
Well, my opinion is that when all the episodes will be released, it will be released also the full game on Blu-Ray Disc, for PS3, Xbox 360, PC and so on.jonas333 wrote:I actually don't like this idea, Now i have to wait for every episode!
That's why I will not buy any chapter of RO. It's just a marketing strategy.
Re: Rayman Origins
I won't mind in getting the episodes one by one.
If they ever release all the episodes in 1 DVD for PC, I will buy it anyway.

I should browse this topic more often. If you need a translation, just ask. And RO has been delayed indeed, I thought you knew it.Jewish Candy wrote:I'm actually quite close to finishing the translation, but time IS scarce. Well I need the text then - and the translation you've done already.

Re: Rayman Origins
Like I said, check with Stace to see if she still has scans of the pages. Do I HAVE to send you my translation?!
Meh, it's on the other computer, so I can send it later today I expect.
Re: Rayman Origins
Yes you do. I don't want to spend too much time on it, and there's nothing to be ashamed about.
