Ah, because I totally didn’t have anything important to say, right? Do you want to see the damned artbook or not? Get out of my RayWiki forums! :grrr:

I hear that Hunch was having connection problems but he's been updating his Facebook a few times recently so I'm not sure what he's doing.

Whoa hold on... *Puts a fan blowing fresh air on Spiral*

Spiral, what I have been loosing? Which artbook you are talking about?

And MLII, as a lifetime advice:

Think before you write.

Also Spiral, I'm not defending anyone but I think the best idea would have been ignoring her post.

Anyway, I want to know which artbook is being talked here. I'm curious.

Hunch has a book containing artwork from Rayman 3. He’s been meaning to scan it for two or three years now, but he never seems to get round to it.

What do you mean, is it that I haven't been on for about a week?

No, I mean you didn't have to bump it for no reason at all.

Just copying my latest addition to the Glute talk page on the wiki:

We had reached a consensus that no evidence allowed us to use ‘glute’ as the name of Globox's species, but the situation was suddenly and one-sidedly reverted on the wiki with Polokus' remark on Globox being “the biggest glute in the Glade”. Not only is the word ‘glute’ not capitalised, unlike all species names in the game, the French version of this sentence refers to Globox's butt, nothing else. Since ‘glute’ is slang for ‘butt’, I fail to see how this sentence could change anything to the previous consensus; it does actually support the opposite theory.
If we are to discuss the meaning of the word ‘glute’ in Rayman 3 again, the Origins argument being dismissed now, then we have only two possibilities supported by facts: either the ‘glute’ is the butt, or a species. Boomboleros7 already listed a lot of points supporting the former. As concerns the latter, we have the ''Rayman 3'' dossier presse, mentioning ‘glute’ as creatures supposedly present in the “family picture”, as well as several quotes from Globox himself, such as « j'dirai plus jamais du mal des glutes » (“I'll never speak ill of glutes again”), « faut que j'aille coiffer mes glutes » (“gotta go comb my glutes”; could as well refer to the butt), etc.
Given the lack of coherence resulting of the multiple argument supporting different theories, I am starting to believe that the word ‘glute’ is not meant to make any sense, and only used as a fun placeholder; it could even be a private joke among the development team. In any case, no evidence points toward it being the name of Globox's species, and this is why I suggest we move this article back to ‘Globox (species)’ and remove all references to this word as Globox's species.

I thought constructive discussion was the way to achieve consensus, but since you seem to have a much better idea, would you mind letting us know about it?

All I'm saying is that I don't see the point in reviving the same old discussion. I assumed you guys came to an agreement when the glute page was created? Didn't you?

I would like that Glute was the species name, but then, I also know that "Glute" means "butt" at the same time and we all know the kind of humour present in Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. In Origins, the developers also joked with Globox's butt in a trailer with the award "Character with the biggest butt".

Maybe we should put the species back to "Unknown" again?

Did you read my message? It is usually highly recommend to read the message you are replying to.

I did read the message. Basically you're implying it should go back to calling every one of Globox' species a 'globox'. How about keeping it as it is until we get that interview we were promised eons ago?

Not sure how to call them actually, but I'd rather have no name than a made-up one. There was once a consensus, then the wiki was brutally edited shortly after the release of Origins, despite the absence of any evidence. No one reacted because people were either busy or couldn't be bothered to, but Boomboleros7 reviving the discussing is a good opportunity to make things clear.
Waiting for the interview sounds like a good idea; unfortunately, as hard as I'm trying to get things moving, the situation hasn't changed lately, and I don't think we can afford waiting for an indeterminate amount of time.
