I know that, but I thought it was strange that I watched a Spanish movie last night and mentioned two Spanish movies in my post, then he mentioned a Spanish movie he had seen called Spanish Movie. Seemed... providential.DesLife wrote:"Spanish Movie" is the title of the movie he watched.

I don’t know how many Spanish films get translated; the two I mentioned are fairly well-known, so it’s natural they would have better distribution. I watched both of them with English subtitles, not dubs, if that’s what you were wondering. As for Spanish series (assuming you mean television series), I haven’t a clue.Danonanobadray327 wrote:spiraldoor wrote:Pan’s Labyrinth and The Devil’s Backbone are both Spanish films. The Expendables was last on my movie list...my thoughts? Don't go in expecting a political drama or romantic comedy(though with a cast like that, why would you?) and if nothing else, you'll be entertained for the next 90 minutes or so. Plus, a scene where Stallone, Willis and Scwarzenegger are there at the same time is like Chuck Norris teaming up with Bear Grylls; epicness in a can. XD

2001: A Space Odyssey was very strange and interesting, if slightly unsettling. I think I will watch more of Kubrick’s films soon.
Re: Movies you just recently watched
You should definitely watch his films. Which ones have you watched already ?

Only The Shining and 2001 so far. I think I’ll watch Dr Strangelove next.
Re: Movies you just recently watched
It'll be Spartacus for me. But I think I'm gonna watch Grave of the Fireflies tomorrow.

I'll be surprised if no tears come to Des' eyes when he watches GOTF.
It makes you hate humanity with a vengeance.

I know you want to watch it to but there's no need for swearing.Jewish Candy wrote:I'll be surprised if no tears come to Des' eyes when he watches GOTF.
Already do that.Jewish Candy wrote:It makes you hate humanity with a vengeance.

We'll see tomorrow. It's going to be real sad indeed. But that should be great.Jewish Candy wrote:I'll be surprised if no tears come to Des' eyes when he watches GOTF.It makes you hate humanity with a vengeance.

I've heard it is a great movie, but very very "heavy" and heart-touching.Quickfist wrote: Ooh, Grave of the Fireflies. Gotta watch that one soon.

Michel Ancel has cited Grave of the Fireflies as an influence.

Fantastic, thanks for the link.
Now I guess I really should watch the film, years ago a person recommended me this movie, but saying to be careful for its "heavy" content.
For things I've heard, I guess I will drop some tears.

I watched Saw III yesterday. It's better than Saw II, but those two films are stupid. It's really funny when you're with friends though.
