Good lord Ubisoft, it's only a children's game!Jewish Candy wrote:... she... breeds with her victims?! Oh good God.Begoniax: She transforms all the males who reject her into toads. Anyhow, this is really useful stuff, Droolie! I have R3GBA completed, but no GC version, or a GC for that matter. Oh, the impracticalities.
Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare
*sigh* So, you are unlocking that, or not?
Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare
Please guys be patient.
I'm going to buy R3 for GBA this Xmas, so soon I'll try to figure out something.

Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare
*sigh* If i good understand, you just need two emulators: Dolphi for GC i VBA for GBA. Something wrong?
Edit: Sorry, i mean: "Dolphi for GC and VBA for GBA".

Go back to the first post and read all until the most recent post.

Look familiar?Drolpiraat wrote:There's a guide for that here: http://forums.dolphin-emulator.com/show ... p?tid=7476
EDIT -> Trying that connection out myself now, and wondering where the hell the gamecube link screen is in the GBA version.
EDIT 2 -> Found it, it's on the left of the world map, it says connected now, but 2D Madness isn't unlocking. I probably need a full R3 savefile for both Rayman 3 GC and Rayman 3 GBA (so I have a higher score). Can't use my own because my old computer is broken and the files are lost. Damn.
EDIT 3 -> Okay, well, I gotta stop trying now...
I absolutely NEED a completed or nearly completed Rayman 3 GC and GBA savefile, everyone! Preferably for emulators, like VBA and Dolphin. Does anyone have that?
Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare
You really don't understand anything of what I'm saying.
We already made tests to the emulators, BUT no one has got a save file for NGC's Rayman 3 for the emulator. And playing the entire game with FPS that aren't very very smooth still...
The other solution is testing this in real hardware, it is this what I'm going to do.

Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare

Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare
I'm currently just waiting for Newray to try it out actually. That's why nothing is happening. I might send him a private message or something to remind him...
Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare
Oh, sorry, I went sick for some days and didn't post on the internet for a while.
Anyhow, I've tried playing in the 2D Madness level for some time. Tried numerous unusual jumps including the long one at the end of the level, but didn't find anything that could lead to any secret passage. I might try a few more jumps soon (or maybe getting all of the gems?), and to be honest, I do fail a lot at the final part of 2D Madness..
And as the name suggests, 2D Nightmare would cause a lot more failures.

Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare
Wow, that was quick. Thanks for trying!
Could you try out Spiral's idea about the secret passage near the shooting gallery in the Hoodlum Headquarters too? It sounds plausible enough...

Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare
Hm, I think a theory about gallery is more probably.
Edit:C'mon, why anybody do not try to check it?
I write "do not", beacuse i dont like shortcuts.

Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare
Does anybody have any idea of where some sort of secret could be near the HH shooting gallery? I've tried passing through those fences near the Hoodboom/cannonball stairs and noticed those loose gems, by looking through the fences. Those gems appear to be some dev leftover rather than a secret, just like some RaymanM/Arena Battle map had a loose 'Lum Spring' gem somewhere up in the air.
1: Ideas, anyone?
2: And can anybody with 2 GBA cables and 2 R3 GBA cartridges check Drol's idea of connecting 2 GBA's to the R3 connection page at once? It appears very plausible to me, since that's where you actually unlock the first 2D Madness.
3: Another idea, for all the emulation experts out here.. I've heard you managed to 'emulate' the 2D Madness unlock in Dolphin by using emulators, is it possible to try idea 2 (above) by simply using 2 emulators both loading the GBA rom? That would save a lot of hassle finding a friend with R3 GBA and a cable.

Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare
Thanks for looking around in HH
I don't have any idea though.
And for everyone else who didn't bother to read the topic...
WE NEED SAVE FILES FOR RAYMAN 3 FOR GAMECUBE AND GBA, PEOPLE!
I don't have any idea though.
We actually didn't manage to unlock 2D Madness yet (I even wonder how I unlocked Mad Trax on my old computer, I'm going to investigate that soon), since we need a full save file for both roms (GBA and GC) for that. On top of that, Haruka's GBA save file doesn't seem to work. Do you know of any way to get a good save file for the Gamecube version (maybe you know how to transfer yours to PC?) or for the GBA version?Newray wrote:3: Another idea, for all the emulation experts out here.. Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare [R3 SAVE FILES WANTED!]
There’s apparently a 100%-complete R3 GBA save file here, but you need a Gameshark to use it. Presumably that can be done in VBA?
Re: Unlocking 2D Nightmare
I thought everyone knew by now that this is no secret passage, but rather the standard final room of the second part and the gems are the 15 gems in that room?Drolpiraat wrote:Wow, that was quick. Thanks for trying!

Anyway, good luck for your project. I hope you find some way to unlock this mysterious minigame.
