Why would you enjoy the game less if other people were not playing it for the first time at the same time as you? And why would you enjoy it less if you did not have a PS3 for several months before playing it? You are making no sense.Sabertooth1000000000 wrote:But then I would miss out while everybody else plays it. Re: Rayman Origins
As long as I could play, I wouldn't mind about my user experience with a PS3.

Lay off. He could have been using a different translator such as babelfish, and just had a brain lapse and said yahoo or something. sometimes happens to me :pspiraldoor wrote:I thought you said you were using Google Translate? I must say, I find your persistent confrontational tone hilarious.
Trolling newbies doesn't make you look cool in any way, shape, or form. All it does is make you look like a big jerk, and huge words aren't going to help state your point. Not all of us are spelling nazis, ya know?
I'm not trying to start a arugment but it was kinda cold how you just insulted him.
1. You feel left out of everyone playing the game at launch and you can't say that you played it on the first day. 2. If you have been using a wii or xbox it takes time to get used to the ps3's OS and everything.spiraldoor wrote:Why would you enjoy the game less if other people were not playing it for the first time at the same time as you? Netherless, this thread needs to get back on topic. I don't like seeing people fight over pointless things.

Re: Rayman Origins
I don’t really like to see people posting lazy, half-arsed automatic translations without even acknowledging that they didn’t do them themselves, and claiming that they spend fifteen minutes on what takes all of twenty seconds for the average internet user doesn’t really help their case. He repeatedly responded to me with sarcastic, patronising, derogatory messages and through them attempted to make it look as if he was being victimised (a tactic which appears to have worked on you quite well). I was not ‘trolling’ him, as I have explained clearly above. He is not a ‘newbie’ – he has been here since April and has made over one hundred posts. I don’t recall making any attempt to be ‘cool’; could you please specify exactly when and how I did this? I take issue with your assertion that I ‘look like a big jerk’, but I’ll let that one slide for now I think. ‘Huge words’? My words are not ‘huge’, they are normal words. If you had read many of my posts, you would know that this is how I always write. Perhaps my words appear ‘huge’ to you because you are not used to them. Which words did you find too long? Was ‘confrontational’ the one that did it for you? There’s also the point that huge words actually do make it possible to state one’s position much more effectively, but considering how I always speak like this, that particular point is immaterial. I have no idea why you claim that I think all PC users are ‘spelling nazis’. Have I ever said that all PC users are spelling Nazis? Have I been particularly vicious in correcting Greenbottle’s spelling mistakes? It would be great if you had some quotes to back this up. This is by no means an argument; I perceive this as a calm discussion. If one of us is arguing, it must be you. I am sorry if you think that I am ‘kinda cold’, but I am perplexed by your claim that I ‘insulted’ him. What exactly did I call him? What mean and nasty things did I say about him? Again, some quotes would be great.Raymale wrote:Lay off. One – I played Rayman 1, Rayman 2 and Rayman 3 for the first time several years after each of the games was released. It did not hinder my enjoyment of the game in any way. Perhaps I will also wait a couple of years before I play Rayman Origins. I pity those who feel the need to be a part of a herd and who cannot enjoy something unless it’s the latest cool new toy. Two – The PS3’s interface takes no more than an hour or two to get used to if you’re familiar with games systems in general. Asking for three months is ridiculous; I knew everything there was to know about the console within two or three days of purchasing mine. And by the way, the vast majority of the PS3’s various features are absolutely not required to enjoy a game on it. You need to put the disc in, wait about five seconds, then press the ‘Down’ button, then press the ‘X’ button. Then you are literally playing the game. That does not take three months to learn. Downloading and playing a PlayStation Network game such as Rayman Origins is mildly more complex, because you have to go online, purchase and download it. The research and effort required to do this takes... several minutes! Whoa, it sure is a good thing the game got delayed by three months. We really dodged a bullet there.Raymale wrote:1. Re: Rayman Origins
I do agree with how it's a shame some people can't enjoy games after launch, but that's why I wait. Once you ride out the storm of hype, then you start to learn from people how great or not so great the game really is later on.
I think the only games I've really hopped on board with at launch was Beyond Good & Evil and Psychonauts. Actually, I got Rayman 3 pretty close to launch too, back in the day.

Re: Rayman Origins
Back on topic at hand maybe the other episodes show not only how he met Globox but how he also met Ly,Clark,Ssssssam and the magician, just some food for thought.
Edit: ooh a second thought just struck me about the livingstones, in R1 when the protoon is stolen the magician says "freaks and hostile characters began to appear" so maybe they turned into limbless freaks when dark stole the protoon and as for the fairy at the start its obviously Betillas unidentical twin

Re: Rayman Origins
The Magician isn't specific about the characters that appear after the Great Protoon stealing, perhaps he was talking about Antitoons.Limbless one wrote: Edit: ooh a second thought just struck me about the livingstones, in R1 when the protoon is stolen the magician says "freaks and hostile characters began to appear" so maybe they turned into limbless freaks when dark stole the protoon and as for the fairy at the start its obviously Betillas unidentical twin

Perhaps the Livingstones disappeared during Rayman Origins and reappeared during Rayman 1.

Perhaps the Great Protoon will get stolen again during RO.
Perhaps the Livingstones aren't 'strange characters'.
Perhaps the 'strange characters' are all revived members of an army that shall form during RO.
So many things...but I don't think Ubisoft cares about the plot too much. I honestly don't expect an explanation. I'd like one, yes, but they probably won't give one.

I’d rather no explanation at all than one that isn’t carefully thought-out.

Re: Rayman Origins
Exactly.
If they give us one that would fit with the rest of the series like a broken puzzle piece, I'd rather not get one at all.

Re: Rayman Origins
That date must be a fake information because there aren't any sources that confirm that. The writter of the article must have invented the date.

Re: Rayman Origins
I doubt it will be released that late. Well, I guess it depends on more delays with the production. If I remember correctly, it's now set for April or something, right?

I highly disagree. I'd much rather have an Ass Pull than no explanation.spiraldoor wrote:I’d rather no explanation at all than one that isn’t carefully thought-out.

I guess it must be tough when you’re not spoonfed an explanation and you have insufficient imagination to fill in the gaps for yourself.ParadoxJuice wrote:I highly disagree. So thinking about unexplained aspects of fiction is ‘fanon’ to which ‘Ass Pull’ explanations are preferable? I’m not sure where you’re going with this.ParadoxJuice wrote:But if I did that, it would be fanon.
