I don't have any tracks of my high scores, but I've never really tried hard to get a good score, so they're not great.

Guys, we plan on creating an extensive article about the scoring system of Rayman 3 on RayWiki, and I was wondering if there already was some elaborate written explanation we could start working on. Does anybody know about something like that? An who would be interested in the redaction of such an article? :)

I think there are explanations about the scoring system scattered all over the walkthroughs. But I don't think there is a structured compendium to be found anywhere.

I could try to put something together if you tell me what you wish to be included in such an article.

I wrote pretty elaborate scoring guide in German once upon a time. I could dig that up and maybe some parts can be translated and used.

There seem to be already enough users willing to help, but if you want me to support the idea as well, I'll be glad to contribute ;)

Speaking of German, do you know what happened with my real life (TSF)? :?

I think it's funny how all the R3 players come swarming back to this forum whenever sth. is posted in this thread. Kind of like wasps when someone eats cake outside. :D

@mostwanted: I have no idea what happened to TSF. One day, I wanted to look sth. up there and I just got an error message. Unfortunately, I have no way to contact Phoenixz and he's probably the only one who knows.

Hehe, well observed :P

Yeah, I wouldn't know what to post besides of "I'm demotivated and don't feel like playing", which would be pretty annoying and mindless

However, I'm viewing the forum (and this thread) daily, and once I see a different person compared to earlier as the last poster, I'll see what expects me

Shame to hear you don't know anything about it, hope things get sorted out soon :(

Not only the wasps, but also the vermin come swarming... Couldn't someone just prevent ^ and ^^ from posting in this topic?

May I ask what you have been smoking throughout the day?

(By the way, can you explain the bug which is necessary in order to get -413,776 points in The Menhir Hills?)

I'm still willing the give them a chance for some reason.
Just go ahead and enter your scores, that would be a start.

Also, Xenon (or some oder Admin/Mod):
Please, go ahead and check the IP adresses of those two guys. I'd like to find out whether cut = necromancer

It is Cut. Is this something I should deal with?

No, it's the retard indeed. If he posts any more messages in this thread that would incur this sort of response again, I'll ban him (and his IP).

As for the scoring article, if sfn cannot find a German copy I would suggest breaking it down into two main categories: "The fundamentals of scoring" and "Techniques and glitches used to enhance scoring". Or perhaps the second could just be a sub-article.

Thank you!

Anyway, it was nice to have have confirmed what most of us had guessed, namely that Cut = Nekrophil. Getting the four green gems in the Xowar room in combo with a Pig for 6000 combo points my a**.

I had already confirmed this years ago by checking their IP adresses on TSF. However, it's nice to see another proof here.

Back to topic, I don't have a copy of the scoring guide I wrote on my laptop, so I'll have to check on my old PC. If I find it, I'll post it here in the evening and we can then discuss what and if it can be used for the article.

EDIT: Forget about it, I failed to check my PM before replying.

There's one thing I don't get with the scoring system. I guess everyone have noticed that the recieved score doubles when it's taken in long combos, and it might even quadruple too. Does anyone know how many points you must have gotten in combo before the recieved score doubles?
