She does seem very new to the whole 'internet' thing; her freewebs was started recently, and apparently she has a Youtube account "COMING SOON"... poor thing. :(
I started to interact with the internet at 8 years old, but the first time I registered myself to a forum, I was 13/14 and it wasn't an English forum (because I knew that I needed to improve even more my english vocabulary). But I never was a troublemaker in the forums because I not only was informed about how internet ettiquete works aswell I have the caution to read forums rules. Is this so hard?

No, it's not hard. But that doesn't mean we should be hard on her. :|

But you were online at 8, you already had some experience with The Laws. And also, you seem to have a naturally mature character.

I am not being hard but I think that with 13 years old a person should already know how these things work. But I also don't know how old everyone here started to use the internet, at least I started early.

It is true. I am naturally mature, everyone who talks with me in quotidian life face to face know that. I might not show it in certain situations, people also tell me I also have a good sense of humour. I can distinguish the serious moments with the ludic moments.

I don’t think you understand our objection to your behaviour. Links have got nothing to do with this.

If it's her first time, I wonder what her perception of an internet troll is

Milly's two cents:

Oh come on Spi, call yourself a troper. She didn't bring it up out of the blue, she was called a troll in The You Game. Therefore it is not Suspiciously Specific Denial and you know it. I do agree with you bout the links though.

Erm, yes you are.
Haruka wrote: but I think that with 13 years old a person should already know how these things work.
Well. They SHOULD, but you have to take into account that this is maybe the first time she's ever used the Internet? Look how I was when I first joined and I'd never used the Internet.
Haruka wrote: But I also don't know how old everyone here started to use the internet, at least I started early.
That's exactly my point and it went right over your head. Maybe she's new to this. She doesn't know what she's doing wrong.
Haruka wrote:It is true. I am naturally mature, everyone who talks with me in quotidian life face to face know that.
There we go. Everyone's different. Just because you were a horribly mature 13yo doesn't mean everyone will be and I need you to respect that.[/quote]

But I'm having that in account since the beggining! To be honest I don't remember your behaviour when you joined.

Also, as far as I know, one thing is not knowing the Internet Etiquete rules and other thing is not knowing the Internet Etiquete rules AND having difficulties to speak English with sufficient coherence. The best option would be not joining a forum that speaks a language that a person doesn't "dominate". Why I would join a French forum when my French knowledge isn't enough? Don't mention RPC, since it is bilingual as you know.

Be careful with the words you use MLII. :| And I never said that everyone should be like that. For some reason I respect people and accept them as they are.

To communicate with fellow Rayman fans. Do not forget that we are the largest (and in my humble opinion the best) Rayman community online.

I know you were not here in 2004 and 2005, but I can assure you that we managed to have good fun here, despite some members' (including mine) poor vocabulary and grammar. By the way, joining a Rayman forum proved to be a great way to learn English.

That isn't discussible, because I agree and it is true. :) It's one of the reasons why I joined this forum in 2008.

It reminds me when a person asked me why I don't open a Portuguese Rayman forum. For you, the answer I said is obvious to guess.

That I didn't know. In those years I was playing R3HH a lot, and spending hours trying to improve my score.

Hehe. Well, you should see then why LFrisco joined this place.

Obviously we'd be happier if her English was better and she had some more internet experience. Moreover, we're getting attacked by bots which is annoying everyone here. But PC has always been a friendly place and it's one of our goals to keep it like that.

You're right. Bots are more annoying aswell. I felt quite bored by the bot attack that RPC had this week.

Okay sorry for the brief absence, my iPod died and I had to get the charger from my mom.

The only thing I really need to say is Haruka, when I said "horribly mature 13yo" I actually meant horribly as an alternative to extremely rather then horribly as in "in a horrible way" I'm just saying this because you told me to choose my words carefully, while highlighting that word, so I thought i'd better point out no offense meant.

I can tell you you're not as bored as mods. Especially since now I have to report the names and IP addresses of the bots whose messages I delete.

Aye, unfortunately we're getting like 30 new bots a day now, I think.
