Re: Rayman 3D
That video is too blurry and too fast for its four seconds’ worth of angled small-screen 2D Rayman 3D footage to be of much use.
Re: Rayman 3D
I'm looking forward to Rayman 3D, but don't worry Spiral: soon or later someone will come up with a better gameplay footage of it.

Re: Rayman 3D
If the preorder I've done in which I'll get Rayman 3D for £10 actually makes it, I'll have a go at recording footage albeit with my camera, as it's highly unlikely that a 3DS emulator will be made just yet.

You can wait sitted.StaceyW wrote:(...) as it's highly unlikely that a 3DS emulator will be made just yet.
I just cannot get a 3DS right now, however I'm praying for luck in the contest I'm participating, in which the winner will get the console. It would be fantastic because I would get Rayman 3D in no time and make a small footage for RaymanPC.

Re: Rayman 3D
Best of luck.
Not sure if I even mentioned this other than livejournal but I actually got to try a 3DS about 2 weeks ago. Only with the two built in games mind, but man. The 3D in it looks to me like the sort of 3D you get in a cinema [like when I went to see Avatar in 3D] but without wearing glasses, but you have to look at it really dead on, any other angle and it's blurry when the 3D slider is on.
As for emulators nobody's sure if it'll be easy to even dump 3DS roms, if somebody can then that's cool but ooops, I heard that it logs flash cart use. Not that I use that sort of thing anyway but still.

Re: Rayman 3D
And emulating 3D in a 3DS ROM and emulator in a normal display would be something taken from sci-fi.
Iberian Nintendo was making a campaign of pre-release 1 hour demonstration in Lisbon for several followed days, but I hadn't availability to jump at the capital to try the console out. Either like that I would love most to try with Rayman 3D at the same time. I wonder if the flying shell will be controlled by moving the console to the sides.

Re: Rayman 3D
Since it's a remake and not something "new and different", I wouldn't expect much else. I know BG&E HD had three trailers and all, but that's probably because it didn't get alot of attention the first time, unlike Rayman 2.spiraldoor wrote:That video is too blurry and too fast for its four seconds’ worth of angled small-screen 2D Rayman 3D footage to be of much use.
Re: Rayman 3D
I also think in the same way, but I'm not worried about that. Want I want to know more is about the in-game content itself. I want to confirm the existence of the Globox Village.

Re: Rayman 3D
I hope they use the Hall of Doors, or at least improve the Isle by giving it proper water instead of that creepy, static, papery map-water. Never sat well with me.
Re: Rayman 3D
I quite like the Isle of Doors, but I equally like the original Hall of Doors (Which I'm used to it since ever).
Re: Rayman 3D
There is some new Rayman 3D footage in the launch trailer for the 3DS. Click on 1:37 to see 10 seconds of Rayman 3D.

Re: Rayman 3D
Where’s the Purple Lum leading to the Globox Village? Don’t tell me they ported the Dreamcast version and removed the best thing about it.

Re: Rayman 3D
If that's the case then something tells me it's just gonna be a PC port.
Re: Rayman 3D
It has been mentioned a billion times, that it damn sure is going to be a Dreamcast port.StaceyW wrote:If that's the case then something tells me it's just gonna be a PC port.

Re: Rayman 3D
It is a port of the Dreamcast version. You can see many of its subtle alterations throughout the video, but the Globox Village is stupidly omitted.
Re: Rayman 3D
At least the music sounds good this time around (from what I can tell). And it doesn't look to be running at like 25 fps or less (like on the DS).

Wow, twice in a row? Damn. Ubi just won't stop with the reasons to hate them. Is there anything in the game worth buying this for, then?spiraldoor wrote:The Globox Village is stupidly omitted.
