I think it should be if you die, but your TEAM wins, that you should get partial points at least. (For example Xenon here) If he died, but his other partners won, that would be worthy of something for him too.

This way it's more of a team effort, and not just a "But I won't... survive... if I do this".

@HC: Ah ok, thank you. : D

@Xen: What do YOU want the game to be? What made the game unlucky? :3

Unfortunately for Xenon, he's never been in a winning team : he sucks so much that his team can only lose.

No one said they could ;)

As concerns your rankings Dedess, you did not count the aborted RayMafia, did you?

Of course I didn't, neither did I count the first Mafia.
Maybe I should divide the scores by the number of games one has played... let's try a new ranking, yay.

Yup I'm having beaucoup de fun !

1. Hunch, 2.25
2. DesLife, 1.5
2. Jacky, 1.5
4. Tobbe 1.33
5. Crap, 1.25
5. Serz, 1.25
7. mat, 0.75
8. Plum, 0.66
8. Rsandee, 0.5
8. Quickie, 0.5
8. BadGuy, 0.5
12. Dango, 0.33
13. Xenon, 0

I like that new version Dedess, but why wouldn't you count the first one? It was a pretty awesome game in the first place.

Well that'll depend on your performance in the next games neo ;)

And Hunch hasn't lost a game yet. I'm definitely putting them on the same team when I host!

I won and survived, period  I'm just not comfortable with the idea of computing a ratio from a total taking into account the hosting, for example my average would decrease if I hosted the next one... how about a bonus added to the ratio? or a separate score, based on the evaluation of the hosting by the players? :hehe:

Yeah, there should definitely be separate hosting scores.

Well, it hasn't come up here but in some games I've seen on smogon there are sometimes win conditions that don't require the complete annihilation of the other side. It usually only occurs in games with Neutrals and/or mulitple factions but it has been done.
An example I've just made up off the top of my head, it could be that to win rather than Lynching the entire Mafia you only have to Lynch their leader, but obviously there would be some mechanisms in place to make this more difficult.
Or, in games with items, the aim could be to obtain particular items.
A neutral win condition I've often seen is simply to "survive until the end of the game".
So yeah there's lots of options we haven't explored for RPC Mafia, which is fine, simple is nice. Although, I think I would like to try some different things in future, although it'd be ideal if we had more players first. I tried doing a game with two Mafia factions in Rayman Mafia but that game failed due to other reasons...

I've read Smogon's page about their mafia, and it's full of very very interesting ideas, but I'm afraid we don't have enough players to make more complex games... what's your opinion ? I'd love to try though.

Also, do you think that Hunch's role was too powerful ?

It would have been if I'd had a night action, but it wasn't the case so I found it quite balanced.

Kk Hunch. ;o

Also, I did think your bp ness was a bit overpowered. I thought it was there to counter-balance the vig, as well. (So I tried to kill around you, didn't go so well)

But I'll adjust accordingly. ;o

Did you try to kill me as I asked you in the first place? It would have been an indisputable proof of my identity...
