Re: Rayman Origins
Well there’s some excellent news here. I don’t think having the third and fourth players control interchangeable midget characters will necessarily make this like NSMBW, but that was a good game anyway so I suppose it doesn’t matter. Ly would have been good. The shift from downloadable to retail is also good; it seems they have cancelled the episodic release completely and saved up the episodes for a disc release instead, which is what several of us speculated they would do. I think the I Dare You challenges will be a bit like the Revolution’s Ly minigames or Rayman 1’s Magician minigames (speaking of which, I really would like to see that guy again). Don’t worry about the PC release just yet; it’s too early to tell what they’ll do, and even if they make it a console exclusive the odds are still good that it will be released on PC anyway. Just make sure you don’t whine about it on the UbiArt blogs, or they’ll close them again (and rightfully so).
Re: Rayman Origins
I also don't see any problem about the Teensies thing. I still never played the Wii version of NSMB but from what I know, I don't think is that bad. I like the Teensies idea.
I also would like to see the Magician again.

Re: Rayman Origins
Probably a good thing anyway, since we can buy the whole thing at once.First announced as a downloadable, episodic title, Origins is now a retail game
I like that.- The Lums you collect will act as currency for new power ups, health and 'I Dare You' challenges.
Uuh, I wonder if that will be anything like missions in The Shake Dimension. That would go perfectly together with the idea of a game that's generally forgiving, but still offers a challenge.- 'I Dare You' challenges are where you wager on whether you can complete a complex, acrobatic chain.
So either there will be no flying fist attack, or the other characters will have different attacks that work the same way.- In order to keep the game accessible all characters will have the same abilities

Don't be mean >> he might have a reason for putting it here.
Re: Rayman Origins
This is probably fake, but there's a chance that it's true.
Some guy on NeoGAF is saying his local gamestop lists Rayman Origins for Wii and DS (not 3DS) for 02/11/11.

Re: Rayman Origins
I wouldn't be surprised if this was fake knowing game shops but you never know.
Also it's kinda weird for it to be on normal DS as well, though mind when the DS did came out they were making GBA games right up to 2008, including RRR1 which came out a year and a half after the DS came out in March 2005.

Re: Rayman Origins
Alright, only 4 days until the big reveal, hehe.
If this game will support multiplayer, as well as a the opportunity to play against each other in any way, maybe we could arrange some kind of tournament here. Not sure how it would be done, just an idea.

Re: Rayman Origins
I also find interesting about the level structure. I like to collect stuff when I'm playing platformers, but if speedrunners will also get satisfied, maybe I could also give a shot when I complete the game a first time by collecting, and passing a second time by doing a speedrun.

Re: Rayman Origins
I didn't really see any lums or tings in the trailer though its obvious they're probably putting tings.

Wow, I thought that everyone has noticed it, including in pictures.

Re: Rayman Origins
Probably didn't help that they were completely redesigned but

Should've gone to Specsavers Pat!

Re: Rayman Origins
I know I really should stop talking here, but I'm so gosh excited I can't stop!
*THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS TOTALLY THOUGHT UP AND DOESN'T HAVE MUCH TO DO WITH WHAT'S CONFIRMED FOR THE GAME*
I've just thought of something - if player 4 was a fairy, maybe even Ly or Tily, and player 3 was a Teensie, it would be smiliar to M/Arena, actually.
Come to think of it - if player 3 were TWO Teensies in a position like in M/Arena, THINK OF THE COMBOS! It would be soo awesome, like if they were in the air, one could kick forward and one could kick backward, hitting there and there!
*OKAY IT'S DONE*
Another thing - someone was asking about the Power Fist (as all players are equal), FIRST I thought of Globox having quite a long arm, allowing to reach longer distances, but then I thought of the Teensies. Oooops!
But THEN I had another idea. In Arena Globox and Teensies did have their own metods of shooting, but here appears another problem - if Rayman will use his fist, G&T can't use those light-thingies which Rayman had in R2 and RM/A. We'll (MAYBE) see on Thursday
EDIT: Noooo I'm talking again
But uh, if the Lums follow Rayman after they've been collected, do they disappear after some time? Because otherwise we'd have a nice crowd

Re: Rayman Origins
Ahh I forgot one more thing.
I'm sorry I didn't edit my other post, but now no one would notice due to another reply, so I have to say something AGAAAAAAIN
Sorry, really the last time xF
Well, in the trailer we can see Rayman making... um, air currents? With his helicopter hair, and also ''flying'' by using the helicopter too, while Globox is flapping his arms around, and if these things are smiliar, still Globox can't fly by flapping his arms around, so... anyone betting Globox flies by inflating himself like in earlier games?
