Only the standard configurations of the mouse are enough to have great aim.

There's a topic about the laps done by RPC members, but it is dead for a very long time and no one wanted to care about it despite of I having attempted to revive it. Try to search for it.

Hello,
I have downloaded Rayman Arena (for the PC) to play over LAN. On my (this) computer, which is quite modern and can run most (if not all) games at very high etc, it works perfectly. On my laptop, however (which has Windows XP and isn't really meant for gaming, but runs games like Command & Conquer Generals fine), Rayman Arena doesn't want to install. I've used this torrent (I think, besides, it's the only working one as far as I know):

http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5875629

It comes with a special setup thingy that installs Rayman Arena with no cd crack and whatever. However, that setup doesn't want to run on my laptop. It gives some error that I don't remember anymore (and I'm in the process of reinstalling my whole laptop so I can't recreate the error). I believe it had to do with msvcrp.dll (or something like that).

Hmm, I'm really stupid, I posted a topic about that on this forum. :P I'll post this message none the less. That topic is here:

EDIT: Also, does anyone know why the multiplayer button on Rayman Arena (for the Gamecube, playing on an emulator) is greyed out?

Well, I'm not sure about your first question, but the button may be greyed out because you need to ''hook up'' another controller. If you're using Dolphin, open it, click the ''Options'' and ''Configure'', then ''Gamecube'', and where it says Port 2, choose Standard Controller. Also choose ''Pad Configuration'', ''Controller 2'', choose your options and there you go :)

Also, late answer is late.

I already figured that out, but thanks anyway. I still can't run Rayman Arena on my laptop though.

Sorry for the double post, but when playing Rayman Arena (for the Gamecube) on an emulator, it seems that, when fighting Dark Rayman, the Rise & Shrine bug is unavoidable, and thus, the game can only be completed for 98%. Normally, you can skip Rise & Shrine's intro movie and avoid the bug, but when playing against Dark Rayman, trying to skip the intro movie also causes the bug. Is that true?

EDIT: Well, I've now completed the game 100% (so it wasn't true).

I have literally good news, the most recent builds of Dolphin can already play perfectly the videos and their sounds. :)

Now about the Rise & Shrine, it still freezes up. :(

Still, I would appreciate that many members marked a "star" in the issue to see if it brings out more the attention of the developers:

I've completed it 100% (and yes, I've also had that bug, but I managed to eventually overcome it by using save states), so if you're interested in a savegame, I can provide one.

Indeed, but I was talking about when you are fightign Dark Rayman (because there, it's extra frustrating as you'll have to beat Shadow Plains over and over again if you want to try Rise & Shrine). You can save when you have finished Shadow Plains, and once Rise & Shrine is loading, you'll have to rely on luck. Basically, you can try skipping the intro movie, and sometimes it will work, and sometimes it will freeze. Just madly press the button you use to skip intro movies and hope it works.

The problem is that no matter what I do, it keeps freezing in Rise and Shrine. I can't wait that problem gets fixed because I don't feel like spending into a cracked GameCube.

Well, for me, after a lot of tries, I eventually managed to properly skip the intro movie.

I prefer to wait for a definitive fix of the emulator.

It is impossible. I also experience the same problem in the PlayStation 2. It is quite strange because in PC it is possible, and the last Lum that is suppoused to be in the begining of the track in the top of the left-side cascade, there is in the PC but not in the PlayStation 2. I don't know how the testers didn't notice this.
