The Caffeine guy’s jokes are cringe-worthy; absolutely nobody laughs at anything he says. They really should ditch him. Also, I love how there were exactly three claps when Ubisoft’s senior vice-president of marketing sales was introduced.

Perhaps they’re going to show us the trailer later? They didn’t say that it was part of the conference.

Still, lol @ I'm not afraid of a few dick jokes.

As concerns Origins, I was really impressed by the Moody Clouds section, you guys noticed the tiny mosquito carrying Globox? Not to mention the warship which happens to be quite reminiscent of Rayman 2... The Tetris part in the food world was damn awesome as well, I simply hope the rest of the game will be as good as the demo! Last but not least, I was glad to see how much importance the game was given.

Edit: now that's an awesome trailer!

Oh my god, I loved this.

First, I was already watching via YouTube 15 minutes before the real start, I was going nuts of the anxiety.

Then, Rayman is the first thing to appear in the 25th Anniversary intro of Ubisoft, and Rayman Origins the first game to be shown. I LOVED the gameplay footage, the Tetris part was hilarious. I also loved the R2 references to the flying ships (who wondered that Livingstones know how to drive a flying ship afterall?) and the Moskito flight and shooting. Didn't the beggining look a little like Rayman Revolution?

Ubisoft didn't tell anything about release dates and platforms. I wonder if that information will be revealed soon.

This game will really promisse. X3

*Watches the trailer*

Did I see a Livingstone washing under his arms with a Yellow Lum?

Mr. Dark does appears for a while!

So, nenuphars and medallions. Awesome, but I'm starting to worry about plums and piranhas!

I forgot to mention the medalion! (I'm recovering from hystericism)

I'm so glad to see the R1 Medallion again! :)

This is the best clip of the game play demo yet, with the whole thing in high quality:

Where's everybody seeing this new trailer?

Edit: Aagh, I always mess up with these Youtube tags :fou2:

Double Edit:

I found it now!

The new trailer was fucking excellent. Exactly the sort of thing I was hoping for. I’m particularly loving the glimpse of Mr Dark! It turns out I was right when I concluded that the concept art on the wall of La Villa and the silhouette in the GameInformer article were really him. He looks really strange when he opens his cloak; I’m aware that this sounds stupid, but it’s almost as if he has three Teensie faces. They seem to have gone with an electric guitar theme reminiscent of his music in Rayman 1. We already saw nenuphar artwork on the wall, along with what I think is plum and piranha artwork, so don’t fret. I also spotted the classic dancing, self-stacking mushrooms. When Rayman grabs the large, sleeping, crowned Yellow Lum, it wakes up and changes into a Red Lum, along with all the little Yellow Lums surrounding it. Strange. It was interesting to see the flying ring in action; it seems to be automated, grabbing Rayman rather than being grabbed by him. We see a revamped health bar; it now has eight bubbles, and they look a bit like orange LEDs. The icy world looked wonderful; judging by the giant slice of orange, I assume it’s part of the food world. It simultaneously reminded me of Candy Château, the Infernal Kitchen, the Sweets world from RRR1 GBA and Glacier Cocktail from Tonic Trouble. The icy palace in the background looks great. It’s interesting how they’ve made the Darktoons similar to the Black Lums. The Livingstone scrubbing his armpit with a Yellow Lum evoked Rayman 2 and was also quite a good way of integrating humour into the gameplay. I think each world might feature a chamber containing those orange meditating glutes; perhaps these are the ‘sages’ mentioned in the Knowledge of the World? The revamped Electoon cages and medallion look great, and seem to indicate that each level will contain only five cages this time round.

Apparently the "!" signs at the end of each level are back in this game as well.

And wow, I'm loving all these preview clips and especially the trailer! This game oozes Rayman 1 so much, it's just incredible. A true sequel to the original (and best) Rayman game.

I still don't like the way they've designed Rayman though. I really wanted him to look the same as he does in the first game. He seems very 'off the wall' and a bit of a 'live wire' in all the preview clips and that's not how I remember the original Rayman. He was more laid back and didn't have a silly grin on his face all the time. But I'm probably asking too much there.

Generally, I'm very excited indeed. I love how everything seems to be doing the whole 'return to roots' thing at the moment, not just with gaming but with music as well (that's for another section I suppose).
