I would really appreciate if someone could help me. I have really big difficulties with the pc controllers, so I would like to try out the xbox 360 controller instead. I don't know if the xbox 360 controller works with rayman 3 pc though.

I didn't even know you could connect Xbox controllers to a PC at all, haha.

I have done that. I can play other games with the controller. For example black ops. But on Rayman 3, there's no option at all to select the xbox 360 controller, and I know for sure that other people have played with a xbox 360 controller on rayman 3 pc. I don't know how they have managed to do so.

"Any controller will do, personally I prefer keyboard for Rayman 3, but I have used the Xbox 360 wired controller in the past and it worked well."

Ah. Well, I don't really know then... you could send a PM to MrBadGuy, though he doesn't come here very often.
I googled some more and saw people recommending this software: http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/
There's a 30-day free trial, maybe try that and see if it helps? That'd be a temporary solution at least.

Then you probabily never heard about the Xbox 360 controllers for PC. Microsoft sells equal exemplars adapted to the computers.El Dango wrote:I didn't even know you could connect Xbox controllers to a PC at all, haha.
I cannot also connect my USB controller to R3HH. I'm reminding there were some PC editions that included a R3 gamepad. Maybe it only works for it?

Re: HELP!!! How can I use a xbox 360 controller for Rayman 3 PC?
Some technical information.
Game programmers have to somehow sneak out the buttons etc. information from your pad. In order to do that, they use something called APIs (just imagine them as gates).
Before 360 controllers, primary Microsoft API for dealing with that was DirectInput. However for some reason (and I can't imagine any but breaking compatibility) they came up with a new one, called XInput.
More about it on
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DirectInput
Games explicilty mentioning 360 controller probably use XInput. R3 is older than that, though, and uses DirectInput. I don't have a XInput pad myself, but if it doesn't work as normal pad does (remember about trying to set up your custom settings in R3 options, though!), you probably need an extra driver.
