Re: Rayman Origins
Recently I was watching some RO gameplay, and I couldn't help but notice that the music sounded very much like the music in Croc: Legend of the Gobbos.

Re: Rayman Origins
Croc hasn't got a lot of bongos in the first game. He also has got his own rythm in the musics.

When I said "Very much like", I meant it has some similarities.Greenbottle3 wrote:Recently I was watching some RO gameplay, and I couldn't help but notice that the music sounded very much like the music in Croc: Legend of the Gobbos.
Re: Rayman Origins
That's Rayman 1 music, not from Rayman Origins. They replaced the music in that video, watch this one instead:

And yeah, now you say so, I guess Croc music does have some similarities with the song you're talking about! Probably because of the flute and the catchy melody.

Re: Rayman Origins
I find a bit different in terms of instruments. At least when having the Band Land music as a model. But in the overall I also think it shares similarities. Catchy music as Droolie said. Justin Scharvona did a great job when composing Croc: Legend of the Gobbos soundtrack.

You must not have gotten very far at all, as they use it in the intro sequence.Greenbottle3 wrote:Really? I don't remember that song in Rayman 1... Re: Rayman Origins
I do not wish to return to that stupid argument, but I just noticed a lot of similarities between these 2 levels, so I thought I'd post them: In both levels, you start in a desert and enter a cave which makes up most of the level. In the cave live creatures which are immune to your attacks and will kill you easily if you do not avoid them. The only way to avoid them is to use gongs, although in R3 they attract the Knaaren, while in RO they repel the bats/locusts/insects.spiraldoor wrote:I don’t see any similarities between the bat-infested, spiky ball-filled desert level in Rayman Origins and the Desert of the Knaaren, which was a claustrophobic cave environment.
btw, someone probably already posted this, but I think the platforms seen in the jungle level (and their equivalents in the desert level) are taken ultimately from the platforms in the dream forest in R1.
Re: Rayman Origins
I agree about the similarities, and interesting parallel with the gongs -but just pointing out that the argument was over visual style, not level content.
Re: Rayman Origins
For the ones who are still doubting that Rayman Origins will be released for the 3DS or not, let's face it: it is.

Re: Rayman Origins
Well, they are one game in 2D and one in 3D. Can't have everything, can you? But, they do have something in common in visuals- they both, if I'm not mistaken, have cave drawings. Again, I'm not sure about the Knaaren level, but the RO one certainly has cave drawings.Gennaroc wrote:I agree about the similarities, and interesting parallel with the gongs -but just pointing out that the argument was over visual style, not level content.
