Re: Rayman Betas
We need to archive this somewhere so that I don't have to keep going through my youtube inbox each time someone asks for this.
Re: Rayman Betas
Hi guys! I've got a question for you:
I already have the Rayman 3 Beta for ps2, but has the second demo (the one similar to the complete game) been released for the same console?
And, always for ps2, there is a Raving Rabbids beta/demo somewhere?
Thanks!

Re: Rayman Betas
Neither one or other exist for the Playstation 2.
Re: Rayman Betas
I would like to ask someone to check whether these games are really Betas or not...
Rayman 3 GBA (labeled as a beta)
Rayman Advance (labeled as a beta as well)
I tried playing Rayman 3 but found nothing out of ordinary.
That may be only because I'm not that much into the game.
I haven't even tried to check Rayman Advance because I don't remember the game too well...

I fear it isn't anything you are thinking.
At least for Rayman 3 being a BETA, it had to show up these details:

Re: Rayman Betas
It's not the same ROM as in that preview but if I remember right I saw a few slight differences though not much. I'll give it a proper play through I guess.
Re: Rayman Betas
@ Haruka: Nope that's definitely not that ROM then...
@ StaceyW: There really are diffrences? I would never notice them at all...

Re: Rayman Betas
Hi!
I've found another Rayman 3 Demo for PS2.
It has the same levels that were on the beta, but they are closer to the final game, and there isn't the trailer.

Can you upload both betas on the web?RayBlue wrote:Hi!

Yep, there's lots of r2 stuff in there, but... beta?Haruka wrote:I fear it isn't anything you are thinking.

Re: Rayman Betas
Who said here that Rayman 3 for GBA was a BETA? We are talking about the one shown in the video. Beta, prototype...
Re: Rayman Betas
Regarding that video, I think there are two builds shown in the preview...
Just look at Rayman's head in the HUD, next to the lives counter. I mean, the one at 1:19 is diffrent than the one shown during the rest of the gameplay (not counting the "low-health" version). Come to think about it, that one (from 1:19) looks just like the one from the final version...

What's the shock about? I don't see anything wrong in my phrase.da1 wrote:Haruka wrote:Who said here that Rayman 3 for GBA was a BETA? We are talking about the one shown in the video. Beta, prototype...
Re: Rayman Betas
I agree with Haruka.
da1, why are you shocked by a nicely formed gramatically phrase which makes perfect sense in context?

Re: Rayman Betas
The elements shown in the video perfectly conclude that the Rayman 3 shown in there, was a prototype (beta, or even alpha, whatever). I've spotted many stuff in there that do not appear in the final version of Rayman 3 for Game Boy Advance.
