Re: Rayman Origins
Is he talking about "Ubishop" sounding like "U bishop"?
Re: Rayman Origins
Strange, I don't see Rayman Origins anywhere.Cairnie wrote:It's available to preorder on the UK Ubishop too though as I keep saying I'm gonna wait to see if there are bonuses.

Re: Rayman Origins
Exactly this. When I read this, I literally thought something's wrong with my eyes, but then... And Cairnie, while I can see why you would know nothing about bishops (they are high-ranked priests BTW), I thought chess would do the job.Drolpiraat wrote:Is he talking about "Ubishop" sounding like "U bishop"?
In other news, Polish site of UbiSoft doesn't mention Wii version of RO. That said

Oh, come on, even I know what a bishop is, and I'm Jewish! Of course she knows what bishops are.stan423321 wrote:And Cairnie, while I can see why you would know nothing about bishops (they are high-ranked priests BTW), I thought chess would do the job.
btw, the UBIShop (that's the official name) doesn't work for me either, it redirects me to the home page. No surprises here

Re: Rayman Origins
I know what both kinds of bishops are thank you.
I think the shop is only available in certain countries (Western Europe, and US/Canada) otherwise it just redirects, besides they mainly import Rabbids stuff from Germany anyway as when I got my handbag the packaging was all in German.

Re: Rayman Origins
This seems to be surprising at least; almost every non-localised game in Poland seems to be manufactured in Germany and have English packaging neverthless. I got a German game like... once. That said, I buy mainly localised ones (which usually equals simply to extra subtitles pack), as they are cheaper (?).
Re: Rayman Origins
Did you take a look at the UBIShop site? It says 2001-2011 (yes, that's about the Polish shop)...
But still, guess something happened that they stopped uptading the rest of the PL site...

Re: Rayman Origins
Just took a look at Polish U-Bishop. (C) is right there, still nothing interesting as it is download only thing (although BG&E for 8 zlotys is like freaking bit nonsenseful).
And no, they update their site, otherwise RO would not be mentioned. They just did not update the (c) line.

Re: Rayman Origins
Hey, it's me. I've decided to come of hiding and give my opinion of all of the info from E3 onwards.
First of all, this game looks gorgous. Seeing it in action, it really does look like a playable cartoon, wih all it's smooth animation and cartoony characters. Second of all, all of these callbacks to past Rayman games(electoons, bandland, Lividstones, The glade of dreams, etc) is like a huge fangasm. Third, the music, from what 've heard, sounds amazing, and manages to perfecly captures the feel of Rayman. Fourthly, the controls look unbelievebly smooth and fluent. I could probably go on about how much I'm going to absolutly love this game, but I think I'll save that for later.
Also, the amount of levels in the game has beem reported as 60, right? Becaus i have something here that says there will be 66 levels. I have no idea to do a shorthanded link or whatever, so here's the url: http://raymanorigins.ubi.com/facebook-t ... 20code_uk/

They always say there'll be 60+ levels, so I guess it's been confirmed as 66. Also, is the middle picture at the bottom a new one?Stuart wrote:Also, the amount of levels in the game has beem reported as 60, right? Becaus i have something here that says there will be 66 levels. Re: Rayman Origins
A bit of jungle level gameplay near the end of the video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL3DlIWvCAE .
Edit: I also found an image of the RO shirt sold at E3- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/ebayisapi.dll?vi ... 0763566015
Zoom in on the picture and you can see a red Globox creature in the middle, screaming or something, and coming out of him (I don't know...) are strange blue creatures.

That's probably red Globox being attacked by blue mosquitoes.

Well, they are blue, so they might have different characteristics from the normal mosquito.iambored2006 wrote:But they're moving away from him...Greenbottle3 wrote:That's probably red Globox being attacked by blue mosquitoes.

IF you can call Bzzit a normal mosquito... They actually look more like normal mosquitos to me.Greenbottle3 wrote:Well, they are blue, so they might have different characteristics from the normal mosquito.iambored2006 wrote:But they're moving away from him...Greenbottle3 wrote:That's probably red Globox being attacked by blue mosquitoes.

Re: Rayman Origins
It looks sort of like they’re attacking him with stingers on their tails to me, but I’m sure Greenbottle is correct. This t-shirt depicts Globox’s origins.
Re: Rayman Origins
Yes, I agree with Greenbottle. That t-shirt shows in just one picture how Globox became blue. I wonder if this t-shirt will be sold later in bigger numbers as part of RO merchandising.

Re: Rayman Origins
I wonder if and how the scene itself will be shown in the game; perhaps as a flashback? We know that we will be able collect relics which will reveal secrets to us; maybe these secrets will be shown in the form of animated sequences rather than text?
