First of all, the most "telescopic" fist was in R1. I think it's actually called that in R1 but I'm not sure. Secondly, about the characters, there's also an orange Teensie in the box art. The skull coins are named Death Medallions and they unlock levels in the LotD. The purpose of the cages is still unknown, but I think we can say for sure that they will open the final boss, like in R1. Also, Ancel Said that there will absolutely be no rabbids and he was quite clear on that.
List of cr*p I have to say (sorry for the Tl,Dr):
-Well, why you call R1's fist "telescopic"?, it doesn't make any sense. In rayman 2 and 3 is kinda acceptable to call it "telescopic" because you fight with a target marked, but in rayman 1? come on, he just launches his punches, just like in rayman origins.
-Thanks for the information about the Death Medallions, where did you find it?
-Who knows, in RRR gba is said that the rabbids are a much older species than rayman himself, and used to be nice guys, until other creatures played pranks on them because they were really stupid, so they hid for a long time (that time would be chronologically rayman 1, 2 and 3) to take their revenge. If the story takes place in the origin of rayman's universe, and rabbids aren's supposed to mess up Rayman's chronology, they should have at least one appeareance. Well, maybe they wouldn't be playable because rayman isn't supposed to meet them before RRR, but maybe, and JUST maybe in my fanfictional mind they would make a cameo, being beaten by a bad guy in the backgroung or something. The same problem would come up with Murphy, because he's one of the most hilarious characters from rayman series, but isn't supposed to meet rayman until rayman 2.
And Finally, EPIC FANART TIME!
Sssssam from rayman 2
Sh*t Pickle from the Angry Videogame Nerd show, drawn with the style of rayman origins (He should appear in food land LOL)
