Speaking of versions of Origins, I'm not sure which version I will be getting (either PS3 or Wii).
If you own a PS3 it is better that you get for it due to the High Definition graphics.

Since I haven't neither a PS3 or an Xbox 360 I'll go with the Wii version: better than nothing.

If it was mentioned I'm sorry
I don't think it was mentioned before, and you're right. The whole scene is from the LotD, but that was pretty obvious. Anyways, this means we have more concept art (sort of) of LotD, this time like the other drawings-

(I took this screenshot, but I seem to remember an official screenshot of that scene. If anyone can please post it here I would be grateful!)

Actually, I heard that the HD gives a stunning effect. I could buy mine for PS3. Unfortunately, my brother will take our PS3 when turns 18 and leaves the house. :(

The PS3 does have the advantage of having HD (and also trophies) but the Wii version might have some cool motion control gameplay that might make Origins more enjoyable to play (maybe?).

Plenty of time to decide.

I do hope they respond, I think a lot of people want RO on the PC.
~50% of people in Internets :? Therefore so strange that no announcement until now. If we took poll from our Russian fan-club "RAYMAN - FOREVER" - 100% of answered fans wait RO for PC.
I'm sure that they are afraid bad sales from piracy, but it's not about Rayman games. It's sells excellent all time. And Ro already has more than 16 awards. This game CAN'T be bad sold! Good games always has good sells, because people want buy them. I will purchase PC-version exactly. I have legal copy of Rayman 3 and Rayman Raving Rabbids. R1 and R2 pirate copy, because nowhere legal copy - nobody published it in Russia.
Also they may consider that PC does not suite for co-op. It's also can be decide - online co-op with game network like Steam, and I think it more comfortable than searching people which will be able to play with you.

of course he doesn't. anyway i think there willn't be a pc release, or if Ubisoft do it, it will need a very hard pc to play it.

I don't think so. Rayman based mainly on 2D-graphics, and average computer must can play it on max configuration. Are you remember, Michel launch RO on own notebook!
Rayman's twitter post new tweet 1 minute ago: "Rayman Origins will also be playable at #GAMEfest! And for German and French players, maybe @gamescomcologne and @ParisGamesWeek? :)"
Seems, they just did not notice my message :( or don't want answer.

Ubisoft have obviously decided that releasing a PC version will harm sales of the game. I would say that they are probably correct. The fact that it is good and has won some awards is not going to dissuade people from torrenting it.

SPORE is a great game that won awards and yet it was the most pirated game of the year of its release.

That's a nonsense. If it was a 3D game it would be much more understandable, now a 2D game like Rayman Origins I'm sure it could run in almost every modern computer.

I would advice to not pressure Ubisoft about a PC release, I'm sure they are still considering a release for it but the fact of not releasing now for PC is a good strategy for profit. Maybe only when the game has given enough profit they will release the game for PC.

I must have to agree with Haruka and Spiraldoor. The game is likely to be pirated, and Ubisoft probably has more reasons to not release it. I don't think it is necessary, as we already got 3DS and Vita as a good bonus. But you never know, Ubisoft is likely to create remakes over the next couple of years.

Hah. If you don't know, console games torrenting now similarly strongly. Need proof?
Example
PS3 torrents http://free-torrents.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=1728
X360 torrents http://free-torrents.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=1421
Wii http://free-torrents.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=385
And this just one website. Don't be naive - piracy exist on all platforms. Why it less than PC? Consoles not so are widespread on the world, I think

It is much more easy to pirate a PC game than a console game. With a PC game you just need a crack and/or a serial, burning all in to a disc, substituting one file or two and done. With a console you need to modify the internal hardware with modchips, and this cost money as it is risky. It reminds me also that Microsoft "destroys" the circuits of the Xbox 360s that are modified/cracked and try to go online. Users are forced to buy a new console. And there's the ripping fact of the game disks with wierd formats, in a correct way.

For what I know, Ubi hasn't confirmed a Vita version yet. We know from a recent interview there's gonna be a "surprise" regarding the platforms of the game, probably they'll announce another platform soon and that one might be the PC (and it also might be Vita).
