If they've fixed that then it's definitely sold on me when I get a new laptop! Hated that so much.Haruka wrote:The CD version can also, expect that appears to have problems in Windows 7 and Vista.
I already got the GOG version, I'll test after in my laptop to see if the pirate head really disappeared.

Re: Rayman 2
It is very annoying the fact I was playing in my Windows 7 laptop the CD version of Rayman 2, and when I am in the middle of the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, the Pirate Head invades the screen. I'll see later if they fixed this.
Re: Rayman 2
That must have been annoying. I wish you could save during a level, as The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire is a unusually large level.Haruka wrote:It is very annoying the fact I was playing in my Windows 7 laptop the CD version of Rayman 2, and when I am in the middle of the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, the Pirate Head invades the screen. Re: Rayman 2
i had the same thing just that was in Echoing Caves. And when it's appeared the bridge at the third part has disappeared and the kegs are falled one by one.Haruka wrote:It is very annoying the fact I was playing in my Windows 7 laptop the CD version of Rayman 2, and when I am in the middle of the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, the Pirate Head invades the screen. Re: Rayman 2
I believe if I pass the level in question with GOG version, I can say the problem was fixed but to be really sure I need to complete the game 100% first.

Re: Rayman 2
Excuse me, what are the GOG version and the Pirate Head problem you talk about? Sorry if this is a newbish question - just like to know what you guys are talking about.
Re: Rayman 2
The GOG version is Rayman 2: The Great Escape available as a digital download. The Pirate Head problem happened to the CD versions of the game, that usually appeared everytime the CD reader couldn't detect the game. This glitch happens in the Windows Vista and 7 computes even with the CD inserted.
Other members report that the GOG version definitely fixes the problem.

GOG is a site where you can buy and download PC games.

You can’t change your avatar on PC. It’s determined by your number of Tings, which you can increase by posting.

Re: Rayman 2
I tried to play TSOSAF level in my Windows 7 laptop with the GOG version and the Pirate Head didn't appear. I guess it is a good signal. I'll report once more if the problem really disappered after beating the game 100%.

For me it is The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, it's longer than the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava, and at the end of the temple it's hard to jump off the missle at the right time.TeensieKing wrote:Ok thanks for the information.

What's the pun? I believe it works, but I'm not 100% sure. Anyway, the GOG version works... Well, it is playable. I had some problems with it (sometimes no background music, sometimes the game speed was way too fast), but that could have been me.stan423321 wrote:Is it 64-bit tested by the way? I keep forgetting. Re: Rayman 2
Isn't there an actual Install.exe file somewhere on the CD? Try accessing it from the Computer by going to My Computer->CD DRIVE->Install.exe, or something similar like Setup.exe.TeensieKing wrote: Well,I have Windows 7 64 bit and my original CD of Rayman 2 and the setup doesn't open.It loads but nothing happens at least for me
I've had problems with old games on my other computer sometimes, which is a Vista, but can't check it right now because it's dismantled.
However, I've always found that 'running as Administrator' and 'compatibility for Windows XP mode' sometimes does the trick in Vista - don't know about Windows 7 though. Also, try selecting the install and then press ENTER instead of double clicking; sometimes this works as well for some absurd reason.
