Both are unique and I find it hard to pick a favourite!

Rayman 1 and Rayman 3 make a tie for me. Though, I hugely liked Revolution.Fraz wrote:I say this too but then I play Rayman 2...Mr. Dark Thingamajig wrote:R1 is my favorite game in the series

Well, I suppose I have to agree with that.Haruka wrote:Rayman 1 is better than Rayman 3.

I'm quite curious about the music the game would have had. I find that the 3D Rayman 2 hugely missed out on real Rayman music. Even though I have quite some music from that game in my top 10 best Rayman tracks.Fraz wrote:It was rather cool that you could play the prototype of the cancelled game at the end of the PS1 version of Rayman 2.

This actually makes sense when you think about games' locations. The most similar music when you think about melody happened to appear at relatively realistic worlds. Next thing is R2's music was synthethized from scratch as long as I remember, and this dictated limited set of instruments. There come the composer differences (or, more speciffically, composing team vs. 1 composer differences).RayTunes wrote:I'm quite curious about the music the game would have had. No,leave Crash alone. He and Rayman are my childhood herosHaruka wrote:Ubisoft got amazed with Crash Bandicoot. You can guilt him for the transition to 3D.

Hmm... I thought Rayman 2 was really wonderful - that was my introduction to the series. Then I had the GBC version of 'Rayman', then I think the original; not sure about that order. Then Rayman M and then Rayman 3, which I like as a game, but not really as a Rayman game. Then again, I also watched Star Wars at the age of whatnot so my portion of 'grip on drama' was already filled in by the nice misters Palpatine and Darth Vader, so Rayman 2 in comparisson was a lot less grim.TeensieKing wrote:No,leave Crash alone. He and Rayman are my childhood herosHaruka wrote:Ubisoft got amazed with Crash Bandicoot. Well,I prefer Rayman 1.Rayman 2 was my introduction to the series BUT I find the story too dark and sad.But Rayman 1's story is happy and Rayman always smiles.Everything is like very happy xD But in Rayman 3 even Rayman was too sarcastic...I didn't like his personality in that game!
