You're way too self conscious Rayfist. There are millions of voices out there you hear every day and none of them seem weird now do they? Even if they are, you get over that in a matter of seconds. But glad to see it's on YouTube. :) Can you put it here?
Nah you do it, I don't remember how to post vids, yes I am self conscious, but forget it, it doesnt matter, over it.

That almost sounds like a cross between your game and mine... wait what?

I'm actually replacing The Shrine of Myer with the Temporal Palace since it gives a lot more room for creativity, while it also gives a much bigger sense of anticipation and relativity to the Rayman universe.

Ubisoft has made destructor robots actually. Remember the ones that throw barrels?
Naaaah, those are 'Saboteurs' (from this point on I'll refer to Pirates in the way that my game will refer to them). Destructor-class Robo-Pirates are a whole new, mean, shiny, overlord Pirate. Kinda like the Ninja Pirates in the Prison Ship, but worse. Faaar worse. And they have a completely different appearance.

Ok thanks for doing that - I don't know if it'll help, but it's worth thinking about anyway.

These places have nice names - sorry a bit of a boring comment but I wanted to at least drop something that's part of the topic.

Ah, yeah. I was referring to that.

I was meaning to ask: what do you exactly use the CryEngine for - do you use it for
-game physics
-character moves
-lighting
-environment
Or because it goes good with your coding or something? I was just wondering to see if I should consider using it or if I should think about making my own engine, which I would prefer.
Also, is CryEngine a paid engine or is it free?

All of those reasons, plus it requires no level compiling, making it one handy candy. It currently supplies the number one in graphics, efficiency, and vast flexibility.

Could you create your own graphics and levels from scratch with the engine though? I like the niceness of the graphics, but they're not very Rayman in my opinion.

Yup. You can customize all the shading/lighting in real time in the engine. And of course you could create your own levels.

I'm also working on the music for the Temporal Palace. One of the tracks is over three minutes. :P This is a level of great inspiration for me, as I'm also working on all the screwy clock models.

Oh god, now your gonna here ikke scream about how amazing his artwork is. Sigh...
The music sounds really great, as usual. The last theme was based on an actual theme from the TV series, am I right?

Yes it is a remade theme of the one from the TV show.
