Rayman 3 is also a very good game, but the guys at Ubisoft tryed to make it a bit to cool. Anyway, I sure am looking forward to playing the new 3D Rayman, but RO will do for this year :D
rayman 3D is not 3D nintendo just added the z axis :boon:
I'm sorry i did not get that..
it's not in 3D
Yes it is :D I have it
all they did is add the Z axis but 2D games (such as r2 for the ds) only have the X and Y axis

I like Rayman Origins idea. I admit I got surprised during its revealing that it would be a 2D game and a prequel at the same time. But like this, the game invokes interest. I'm sure this game can be one of the best platformers of 2011. I want Rayman Origins to make me feel 8 years old again.

No.I've played it with my friend and Rayman 3D in in 3D.And I don't know where did you see Rayman DS in 2D.Well,it's not in 2D if you're referring to 2D like Rayman 1

Rayman Origins need to have those slides from Rayman 1, it would take me back to the time of nostalgia. And also they need to make Hunter a more common character. I haven't seen him in the forest levels yet. :(
Well, anyways visit my topic: Rayman 1 Competition

Hunters? NOOO! I just managed to fight off these frickin' Elites and now Hunt-- oh, wait, this is Rayman. Nevermind.
Yeah, the sliding part was really cool - they kept that in the GBC version of the game too. Actually, the second part of Allegro Presto is almost the same in the GBC version. With the trumpets and everything.

NOW, to relieve people of some confusion around the 2D/3D part, I think what that3Dguy is trying to say is that the game isn't actually three-dimensional. It LOOKS three-dimensional, but it is still a two-dimensional game.
Now this is what I think he meant to say, although I think he's got himself confused there. Since he said Rayman 1 was only played on the X-axis (horizontal), which isn't true, as Rayman 1 is as much vertical (Y-axis) as it is horizontal, so that would make Rayman 1 a two-dimensional game. Rayman 2 also goes into depth (Z-axis), which would make it a seemingly three-dimensional game, although still played on a flat screen. And then what Nintendo did was make it so it looks like it's actually coming out of the screen.
So that's what the axes are about, now let me put into words what I think that3Dguy got himself confused in. He meant Rayman 1 is really flat, as in flat surface and no intention of 3D, while Rayman 2 is somewhat less flat, with the illusion of 3D. However, because it's not real, it still is flat in its own way - as you can't grab into the screen or anything.
Now I hope I cleared that up, and I hope I understand what that3Dguy is trying to say. If not, please say so, but THEN DROP THE MATTER. It doesn't really matter for the topic anyway.

Yeah,I pray for this option! Oh,talking about the Wizard Teensie...his clothes are blue or black? I saw concept arts and artworks with his blue clothes but in the gameplays his clothes are black...

Have the developers talked much about this game's difficulty? I've heard that it won't be as difficult as Rayman but that's about it. I hope it will be a challenging game but not to the point where I get frustrated (like in some parts of Rayman).
