i wonder why lost of games have different textures and colour in the japanese version...it must be horrible for Japanese people to search Ly in google and get a image of Ly with other colours xD

This is possibly because Rayman should like never release in Japan. They wanted to "remove" culturally problematic stuff, and see what happened, really.

They edit the colours to be more appealing to the market. Also, purple is the colour of death over there and they didn't want the main heroes to beam "I represent death and sorrow" all over the country.
