Idea of getting lums for achievements in the forum

Hey guys,
An idea occured in my head, that members can earn lums for various achievements on the forum, for example:
- upload your raymam 3 score
- post 1000 comments on the forum
- post 30 good arcticles on RayWiki
- invite your friend to the forum
etc.
these points could maybe used to get a few tings for each lums. if this idea comes. in, then it will be a success for the forums.

As good as it sounds there'd be many problems with that. Mostly involving spam just to get posts.

You already get tings for submitting your R3 score, inviting friends and posting messages.
I suppose you have a point about RayWiki though.

That was just an idea for getting a lum by post 1000 comments. it isn't must be in the list of achievements.
EDIT: these was just examples. if anyone have any other idea about this then let us know.

Not sure giving points for editing the wiki is a good way to promote it.

Well yeah, it will cause more harm than good if you simply get awarded for editing it. And it's hard to set a proper personal 'achievement' there given RayWiki's collaborative nature and purpose.

Anyway, wasn't there a similar topic in PC websites forum somewhere?

i don't know, but if it is just honorated by lums and not with tings also?

We already have Tings so I don't see the need for any additional 'currency'. I definitely agree with you about RayWiki rewards though. Perhaps sysops should have the ability to give Tings to users who create praiseworthy articles

that's ok, but in an old topic you said that may be a silver lum system in the forum, lums anyway could be more competent than tings IMO, because in most Rayman games the tings doesn't appear. or maybe lums could be awarded for competions in members participating. I have many ideas.
