The only cartoon I like nowadays that is for kids is P&F with its sense of humor and ideas and it's wonderful really.
I'm happy someone agrees

I don't like it personally, but yes, it is far above the usual stuff.

To be honest once I saw Phineas and Ferb in Disney Channel since they were doing an episodes marathon. At first I giggled with the sillynesses of the storyboard but after I was finding everything dry after having watched 3 episodes (It is possible that I had bad luck with the episodes). Dave the Barbarian makes me feel like this too. But I cannot say the storyboard writters haven't imagination.

Even Disney Channel has got crappy programs nowadays. The last time I saw it, the only ones that were enjoyable were "Recess" (I used to watch this when I was in primary school ), "The Emperor's New School" and "Art Attack". I really miss the classical Disney movies, the movies they pass now in the channel are all around teenaging and those craps.

@stan Yes, toys kinda help. And Gormitti from what I know it is made by the same italian enterprise that makes the Winx Club, another show that I don't find funny as I believe it is an attempt to rivalize with the W.I.T.C.H..

Probably a lot of people will disagree with me but I never liked Dragon Ball, while in here it is quite popular. And I hate when adults compare it to Pokémon :| . Pokémon compared to Dragon Ball, it is a pre-school kids show.

Before school every day I would watch Disney's Recess and then The Weekenders. They were both some of Disney's best TV shows in my opinion. Otherwise I sometimes watched Spongebob (who didn't), and Catdog, and I watched Pokémon all the way through, but I stopped after season 7 because it just started to get stupid. And I hate Dragon Ball Z. For some reason so many people at my school started watching it, and they act like it's their soul. My freaking Science it's annoying.

I prefer the games of PKMN than the animé itself but I agree that they should have stopped after the Hoenn region.

Umm, why? It's a cash cow after all. Games could be leaded completely different way - less new Pokemon, making variety in old ones.

Back to cartoons, I really miss the times they actually had more than one to three "pictures" per second while not done in Flash. This was actually entertaining. Nowadays you have choice between stretched, over-smoothed stuff and two frames of character moving on background swapping for a dozen of whiles. The latter works only in specific circumstances, and everybody forgot about that lately.

The Pokémon anime ends to be quite cliché. Just think in Team Rocket.

Ah that's right, I also avidly followed the original Yu-Gi-Oh series from the very beginning right up until "the end." That was a very good series. The story was amazing. Yu-Gi-Oh GX though is just retarded.

I didn't watch Tiny Toons but Looney Tunes was awesome. My favourites were from the Coyote and the Road Runner. Ah, the classical scene of the wall painting of the road where the Road Runner could pass it and the Coyote couldn't. :mryellow:

Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo, Dragon Ball (I was the only one girl from my class who watched it :mryellow:), Looney Tunes, these old short Disney cartoons, Moomins, Smurfs, Pokemons (I stopped at... 3rd generation), Animaniacs, Histeria!, Freakazoid!, Cow and Chicken, Dexter's Labolatory, Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, Yogi Bear, Two Stupid Dogs... and many, many more.

Now I barely watch TV... sometimes I watch Fish Hooks on Disney Channel (there's nothing here! completely nothing!)... and new MLP (oh sweet Palomino, thank you Youtube!)

Nowadays I haven't patience for television. If I want to watch a specific thing, normally I can get it through Youtube or by download in any website.

The programming of the channels of nowadays is terrible. :tssk:

I watched a lot of Cartoons as a kid, One of the ones that stuck out were the Scooby-Doo ones, as well as the stuff that was on Fox Kids (UK, turned into Jetix and is now called Disney XD), Spider-man, Transformers, SpongeBob Squarepants (yes, and I still watch it).
Though I did get into Doctor Who quite fast, but that began again in 2005.
Phineas And Ferb, I like, it's one of the good cartoons that Disney made in ages.

I remember the good old days, when Disney actually made good stuff, who did not shed a tear when Mufasa died? Who's heart did not race when Simba finally became King? Who loved to sing along to Hakuna Matata?

If only Disney could do those things again.

Also, it seems Disney is finally releasing The Lion King on Blu-Ray : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lion-King-Blu-r ... 555&sr=8-3

Please, have the original version on too, I don't like the "Morning Report" song.

I loved Lion King :D that scene of Mufasa's death... I was 6 years old when I saw that first time in cinema. I couldn't calm down bahaha. Even now when I rewatched it again I had to cry.

That scene, Nuka's death (TLK2 wasn't as good as prequel but... not bad), and death of Artax (Atreyu's horse, Neverending Story) made me cry like never.
