No.The trailer says Betilla CREATED him in the summer solstice (so in the game it's summer :D) and I've heard somewhere that Betilla didn't have enough energy/Lums and because of that Rayman had to be born with no arms or legs xD

Another question of mine xD what do you think/know the Lums are for in Rayman Origins? I thought you'd have to collect Yellow Lums and that the Red ones would give you some energy but now I've seen that Yellow Lums count as 1 and Red Lums count as 2. And each player has a separated Lum counter.I wonder if the game will keep the Lums in the player who collected them or if it will give all of them to the player one when the other players get disconnected or of anyways the counter will return to zero when the level is finished...

The Knowledge of the World doesn’t seem to know anything about Rayman’s origins, so we can’t put much faith in its word. ‘No one knows from whence you came nor who your parents were’ is a highly speculative statement – it’s just assuming that Rayman must have parents, which we now know isn’t the case (unless you count Betilla or the Moons in some way).

The attempt to find Origins characters in the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire is interesting. I’ve always thought the first one was supposed to be a piranha, and I agree that the third could well be Eig. As for the second – what round-bodied, one-eyed fire-breathers do we know?

It's a bit strange though that the Yellow Lums, the things that know about everything, the things that created conscience itself, wouldn't know where Rayman came from... then again, we can't blame the creators for making a text years before they decided to reveal how Rayman began, and then throw that in their face. That isn't really fair. On another note, I found that the Knowledge of the World ended quite inconclusively... they could have at least ended with something more... solid.

Yeah, the Piranha thing I can understand, but I've never really seen Eig - I haven't played any other versions besides the PC one, so I wouldn't know what Eig looks like in detail by heart (don't link me to the Wiki - I have already checked that long ago and seen the pics there). But see it from my perspective, I was TRYING to see a link between the two games, and then I wouldn't assume a picture is something from the same game if I could also link it to something in RO, which was my point.

Ahaha, yes, I would have never thought of them. I still think being eaten by one of those is the funniest death animation in the game. The sounds they make... XD

I think that The Knowledge of The World shouldn't be taken too serious. Remember it's a game, not a moving story with a deep plot.

In that case we might as well shut down the forum. No point in wasting time discussing silly videogames.

:tssk: It doesn't harm to discuss tiny details of the games.

It's true that there's no point to discuss about a silly videogame buuuut...It's really amusing! There we can talk about Rayman till we're sick of it xD It's just wonderful!

Well, according to the Wiki, he appears in the Marshes of Awakening as you ride Ssssam and in several other swampy areas. He doesn't do much but appear and sometimes hinder your passage, but according to the Knowledge of the World he is a fierce monster spawned by Polokus's nightmares who roams the marshes of the world.
