The only time I laughed when I saw RO stuff was when Rayman blew air up Betilla's skirt. :fou2: This reminds me: Do we have any official source calling her Betilla? I'm not questioning her being Betilla, but maybe they renamed her, like Polokus.
Um, a minigame in RRR2 called FART WARS for a start?

I'm not sure what to make of this new stuff yet... :paranormal:

I haven't played any Rabbid games except RRR and RGH. RGH is actually a pretty good game. Hope they do another one.

Is Granny supposed to be the predecessor of Mr. Dark, or does she work for him?

The way Rayman Origins has taken levels from the original is probably the best thing that has ever happened to the series.

That's probably the case:
Gamespot wrote:Trickier still was a level called Don't Burn Dinner, which was set within the Gourmand Lands, featuring deadly knife-throwing chefs and an abundance of cocktail wieners.
Don’t Burn Dinner sounds like a part of the Infernal Kitchen, which we know is part of the food world (which may be called the Gourmand Lands). Maybe every single level in the game will have its own name? That would be about sixty, which makes sense to me, as ‘Don’t Burn Dinner’ is a less than spectacular name and seems to be part of the much-better-named Infernal Kitchen anyway. Moody Clouds is probably a single level too. The Desert of Didgeridoos sounds like it will be an expansive environment; perhaps it will comprise a half or a third of all the music-world levels.
ikke471 wrote:Desert is music so no it isn't original -_-
The desert is completely different from the Band Land levels in the original game. Just how ‘original’ do you want this game to be?
Mr. Dark Thingamajig wrote:they have changed polokus really a lot
but i like him
It has been confirmed that Polokus is a shape-shifter. He will manifest himself as a rock, a tree, and presumably many other things. The form we saw in Rayman 2 is just one of them, and may even appear in Origins. The lack of a bubble pipe in that version is plainly a continuity error – there’s no use in trying to gloss over it or explain it. I’m glad they evaluated a strong and recognisable design as being more important than slavish faithfulness to the earlier games.
sergiomonty wrote:Oh no, not again. Just because a character wears dark clothes doesn't mean it's mr dark!!! first the teensy with the top hat, and now the intellectual-like teensy? guys, just face it, mr dark doesn't even appear to have any relation to the main story.
You mean the Teensy in the second trailer? The one with a cloak that’s blue on the outside and purple on the inside (like Mr Dark’s), and wears a hat (like Mr Dark’s), and stands on a hilltop (like Mr Dark) while commanding legions of Darktoons (like Mr Dark)? Bearing in mind the confirmation that Mr Dark’s origins will be explained in this game? When you say ‘intellectual-looking Teensy’, do you mean the innocent Teensy whose pre-Dark creation is impressionistically depicted in the trailer? The one who has the same locks of grey hair as the Teensy in the second trailer (the one who’s Mr Dark)? The one who wears a bright blue cape exactly the same shade as that seen in the original game (being worn by a certain Mr Dark)? You are in denial, my friend. The evidence is overwhelming. Mr Dark is a Teensy, whether you like it or not.
El Dango wrote:Is Granny supposed to be the predecessor of Mr. Dark, or does she work for him?
This is the story of Mr Dark’s origins, so I would say that the granny is the game’s villain and final boss. Mr Dark will definitely be in there somewhere, though.

It’s just a trailer designed to give us an impression of what the game is like. They wanted to show us that the Bubble Dreamer is the creator, so they stuck a few random characters in there. I highly doubt the developers meant to suggest that Globox, Betilla, Mr Dark, Ly, an Electoon and the daisy monster were all bubbled into existence within the space of a few seconds. Besides, there’s no way Betilla was created while the Bubble Dreamer was hanging out at Rayman’s house – she created Rayman, remember?

Hmm... tribal patterns, purple hair, what looks like green lipstick and eyelashes that portrude from the side of the eyes... on whom have we seen these features before?

Also, is the edition with the artbook and soundtrack available only for a short period of time, or will you be able to get the artbook later as well? I'm quite interested in the artbook, but not too sure about the soundtrack, and I would get the game anyway.
EDIT:
Hang on, that hairy thing is POLOKUS?!

She looks kind of Indian or Native American or something. I’m not sure if it’s Ly – the only real resemblance is the purple hair. She’s not instantly recognisable as Ly, the way Betilla was instantly recognisable as herself in the first trailer. I don’t know what’s up with that mask at all. The bright blue facial markings are giving me flashbacks of the horrid Ly concept art from the Rayman 3 Print Studio.

What, you're talking about the fairy the Bubble Dreamer dreams up in the new trailer? The one who has the same skin colour, hair and body paint as Ly? The one in that analogical part that symbolizes the birth of the most notable creatures in Rayman's universe? The one that could be one of the easter eggs they mentioned? You are in denial, my friend. The evidence is overwhelming. Ly will be in this game, whether you like it or not. LOL :mryellow:

Tulio, can you please upload a picture of the Teensie in the beginning of the trailer? It can be further discussed if a picture is uploaded.
