I find it funny that the most asked question here has been answered today. :fou2:

I have four questions-

1) Will Rayman have the telescopic fist from R1/3? If so, what parallel ability will the other characters have?
2) Besides regular Rayman and Dark Rayman, what other skins will Rayman have?
3) Will there be Tonic Trouble throw-backs? It seems that the ice level was inspired by Glacier Cocktail from Tonic Trouble. Will there be other instances like that?
4) Did you plan to do a 2D prequel from the beginning or did you have other plans for the return of Rayman?

The trailer shows exactly this, so the answer is obviously yes.
As much as I'm terribly afraid of replying to Spiral, the trailer doesn't really tell me much. The effect of there only being Globox may have been just created for the trailer somehow, for some reason. I just want to make sure.
Yes,I think the same.I would want to make sure too.And...10-20 characters can't only skins...I think we will get some other character apart of Rayman,Globox and the Teensies.Imageine playing as Ly,Tarayzan,Baby Globox...I count with Uglette as a Globox skin or something,if not I hope someone will be able to find the textures in the Wii disc so I can change it

OH GOD NO!!! Interviewer, forget about the question about the teensies!! They already answered that one!! There are going to be like 10-20 playable characters.

Better ask this one: Is Mr. Dark going to be the main antagonist?

I think I've come up with the best question yet- Hunch, does it matter if a question is asked more than once? Please, other members, act accordingly. :hinhinhin:

We'll not take into consideration how many times a question has been asked but simply whether it is pertinent. ;)

Right, another question from me:

As has been previously told, the story of Rayman was based on stories from several languages. Was this the idea of Rayman himself, with the main idea of the storyplot, or have all games (not including the Rabbids - remember I said games) been based upon or inspired by these stories?

Is your need to find out details about the content of Rayman Origins so overwhelming and irrepressible that you would throw away this golden opportunity rather than wait a couple of months?
Rulez wrote:As much as I'm terribly afraid of replying to Spiral, the trailer doesn't really tell me much. The effect of there only being Globox may have been just created for the trailer somehow, for some reason. I just want to make sure.
The trailer is supposed to show you what the game is like. Showing in-game content in the trailer and omitting it from the game would be false advertisement. Even if Ubisoft have sunk to that level, would it really be worth a slot in the interview just to find out early?

Ten to twenty characters can’t all be skins? Why not? Tarayzan as a skin for Rayman is an interesting idea, and it’s probably the only way we’ll get to sort-of see him again – the whole point of the character is that he’s a Rayman version of Tarzan, and Origins has retconned the original so that there’s no longer a Rayman version of anything... except Rayman.

Will you stop criticizing other peoples questions?! I've got a whup-load of things to say about your questions, but you don't see ME bitching about them! Just ask your questions and I'll ask mine, there's a reason why they choose certain questions to ask. You can practically post anything and they just won't ask it. And if you're so goddam worried about losing this golden opportunity, just ask all your precious questions and be off.

Look, before we all start shouting at each other, I've got to clear this up. I think Spiraldoor is right, but is bringing his arguments wrong. You see, this is a chance we have here, a chance to talk to the developpers, creator and masterminds behind the whole Rayman CONCEPT! The things we could learn by simply asking! However, since it is Rayman Origins related, it's fairly natural that a lot of people will want to know things.
HOWEVER. Certain questions like 'who will be in the game or not' could be considered pointless, since these questions will answer themselves as you play the game. Some people would like to know these things though, before they buy the game, because it will tell them if they would even want to buy the game or not. Let them ask the questions! The people behind this interview will decide which questions go through, whether a lot of people ask them or not. They are the ones to decide, not us.
So please stop complaining about each other, criticising each other and most definately don't start swearing at each other. Only bad things can come of it.

Like I said, Spiraldoor is right, there are many golden questions to be asked. Many things we could learn behind the games themselves. But this is a Rayman Origins interview, and I doubt that it will be comprised of questions not related to the game.
So if you have a good question, try to consider if it's got something to do with the game, or better, with the series in the first place. If it's UbiSoft related as opposed to Rayman related, I don't think the question will go very far but to other people's computer screens as they read it on this very topic.
An interview with the games' creator is special, and not something you can take for granted. Ask smart questions, or questions you're dying to hear the answer to, even if they will be answered for you anyway - it's not up to us to decide which ones go through anyway. And keep at peace with one another. This is the most civilised community I have ever seen and I would hate to see it go to oblivion because of differences of opinion.

But most of all... most important of all, think about this:
WOULD RAYMAN APPROVE OF YOUR QUESTION???

I am simply trying to encourage people to ask good questions – this may be the only chance we’ll ever get to interview the creators of Rayman, so we need as many insightful questions as we can get. Of course the short-sighted ones will be filtered out by the selection process; my primary aim is not to reduce the number of pointless questions being asked, but to increase the number of meaningful ones.
iambored2006 wrote:I've got a whup-load of things to say about your questions, but you don't see ME bitching about them! Just ask your questions and I'll ask mine, there's a reason why they choose certain questions to ask.
It’s unfortunate that you see polite constructive criticism as ‘bitching’. I doubt you have anything helpful to say about my questions, but if you actually do, I’d be glad to hear it. Anything that helps to improve the questions being submitted is welcome.
iambored2006 wrote:You can practically post anything and they just won't ask it.
Correct, but why submit questions that you recognise as wasteful, and which you don’t expect to be asked? I don’t understand.
iambored2006 wrote:And if you're so goddam worried about losing this golden opportunity, just ask all your precious questions and be off.
As you are most likely aware, I have already submitted my questions. The point of this thread is to invite other members to do the same, hence my concern for the quality of the questions being asked. Only a few members so far have submitted questions suitable for inclusion in the interview, and I (and Holy Crap) hoped to correct this by making people aware that they were asking the wrong sort of questions.

A week after the game comes out, it will be possible to come to PC, ask any question in the Rayman Origins thread and have it answered within hours. There is no need to ask the developers questions which could be answered by any player.

Edit: I forgot the word ‘thread’.

Alright, sorted then. All things cleared up, let's drop the matter and move on.

New question:
What is the reason behind the idea to make the game so violently cartoony, reminding of the style of Ren and Stimpy?

I think they did this in order to make the game seem less artsy fartsy.

One positive thing about the new trailer, new articles and new gameplay footages: some questions have been answered.

WWRA- What would Rayman ask? LOL

Spiral, I agree with everything you said, what annoys me is that you say it to specific people whose questions you disapprove of. Say all you want to say, I personally agree with it, just don't quote people's questions and preach to them about what the right question should be like. Especially my questions. They're perfect.

That is my question. I just wanted to know if it matters so that other people will see Hunch's reply and stop asking the same old questions over and over again.

What did inspirised you to make a rayman party game ( Rayman Raving Rabbids )?

I don't want to sound mean but these questions are easily answerable. And besides, Spiral Doors appear in Rayman Origins as it was seen in some gameplay videos.

Nowhere is it said that the interview is only about Origins, so feel free to ask any questions as long as they concern Rayman. ;)

Will we ever see André or Razorbeard again?
How did Rayman ever get replaced by rabbids?

Sorry, but I couldn't think of more simple questions, since these are also the only questions I have.
