Apparently the controls in Rayman 3D suck badly, so I would discourage you to buy that one - but I haven't seen or tried the game (although I am really wanting to), so I wouldn't know for sure. I played Rayman 2 DS though and its controls were sooooo bad... and people say R3D is even worse.TeensieKing wrote: I can't save much for a Wii U because I'm 14 and I'm already saving money to help my parents to get me a 3DS for Christmas xD
I don't know what will be my first game.I want Origins for 3DS too,but it won't be available till 2012 and the most stupid thing in world is to get a new console with no games at all, like my friend did.I just can't stand to have a new console but not being able to play. It's between: Mario Kart 3DS,Super Mario 3D and Rayman 3D
Rayman 3

Barring the Prison ship Rayman 3D's controls were nowhere near as bad as RDS was.

Oh, hmm... false source of information then. Like I said, I've never tried it myself, though I would really want to.
Re: Rayman 3
Rayman 3D is better than Rayman DS mainly for the graphism, sound/music and controlling. I only didn't like the strafe button and the removed steering button for the Flying Shell in Rayman 3D.

How did you play R2 for first time? I'm kind of D-pad lover and only thing that really sucked about controls was that platform in Sanctuary of Rocks and Lava.

Re: Rayman 3
I played RDS a week ago and I had to stop playing that because it was horrible. But I've tried R3D and I liked the controls so much because of the new joystick implemented. But I think my first game may end up being Mario Kart 3DS unless they release Rayman Kart for 3DS or Crash Team Racing 2 for 3DS which I see quite difficult now xD
Re: Rayman 3
The controls in the iPod Touch/iPhone version is even worse than the Rayman DS.
The first time I had contact with Rayman 2 was back in 2001 with the PC version. In other words: with keyboard. The controls are very good in the PC.stan423321 wrote:How did you play R2 for first time? Re: Rayman 3
No,althrough I love them,as I grew up with my PS2,and still miss them with my Wii.I'm glad I'll have my joystick back wih 3DS,but still,I'm not any kind of "joystick fanboy" and I think everyone can play with what he/she likes.I can play with both D-Pad and joystick, and D-Pad sometimess is easy to use,but in RDS the controls were almost impossible to control.Rayman almost did what he actually wanted!
Re: Rayman 3
The GameCube had the best controls in my opinion. The PC version is a bit though for me. It took me forever to find the ''strife'' button. ''Jump using the jump button'' WTF?TeensieKing wrote:No,althrough I love them,as I grew up with my PS2,and still miss them with my Wii.I'm glad I'll have my joystick back wih 3DS,but still,I'm not any kind of "joystick fanboy" and I think everyone can play with what he/she likes.I can play with both D-Pad and joystick, and D-Pad sometimess is easy to use,but in RDS the controls were almost impossible to control.Rayman almost did what he actually wanted!

Oh... they actually tell me what buttons are what in my game. Also, there's a ReadMe file that tells you what the controls are. I can imagine the controlling relative to the camera can be hard, as my friend struggles with it, but I've grown up with it and can use it fine.

That's because we're talking about R2/RR/RDS/R3D and he radically started talking about R3 i think, because jum with the jump button was said by Murphy in R3...Shrooblord wrote:Oh... they actually tell me what buttons are what in my game. Well, obviously I would think it was Rayman 3, as looking at the topic.TeensieKing wrote:That's because we're talking about R2/RR/RDS/R3D and he radically started talking about R3 i think, because jum with the jump button was said by Murphy in R3...Shrooblord wrote:Oh... they actually tell me what buttons are what in my game. Re: Rayman 3
Yeah, I was wondering how all topics about the games actually talk about all the games BUT the one the topic is about.
Well, on-topic:
I like the Funkyboard way of welding levels together, although I think I would have rather seen another way of travelling through levels. Don't know exactly what to describe though, but it's just this feeling, y'know?

It was awesome! Though, yes, I would have preferred some kind if 2D level.Shrooblord wrote:Yeah, I was wondering how all topics about the games actually talk about all the games BUT the one the topic is about.![]()

I would have put a spiraldoor instead of a rare temple which teleports you with a white flash xDShrooblord wrote: Well, on-topic:

Re: Rayman 3
I wonder if they're talking about Rayman 3 in the Rayman M topic...
Anyways, the portal was a bit strange. But that won't keep me from believing it is one of the best games in the series!

But that kind of talk belongs in the 'your favourite Rayman game' thread. Once again, we are talking about things that have nothing to do with the game itself. NO more!
How about Reflux, huh? He's pretty damn win.
