I think it will also work.

Try to download the emulator (0.9.8), the BIOS and have the game already with you.

Ah, good! I'll download it sometime then! I've seen some videos of RR (mostly by you Haruka :P) and from what I've seen Ubisoft has done a great job with it.

I just find a pity that the overall textures of the game look worse than in PC/Dreamcast.

I was going to say, that's what I noticed about the graphics. So, where do I get this emulator? It's called PS2BIOS 0.9 then? I know how to find the... game. For five million dollars! :hinhin:

For example, try to compare the Walking Shell's skull symbol in both versions. You'll see the difference.

PS2 "loves" relatively complicated models, but has problems with some textures, and R2 couldn't benefit from that compared to PCs which were working other way around.

Did you download the BIOS?

If the hardware mode of the emulator's graphical plugin isn't working well, try the software mode or even the PS2 native resolution.

If you put Hardware mode, it will require a lot of power from your graphic card.

Well, I've got it and it's working fine. I must say, it's not really like Ray 2 at all - it's like I'm playing a completely different game, that's loosely inspired by the other!

I've encountered two things though: I'm suffering from lag at times, which messes up the game experience a bit - any ideas on how to make it go away? I've fiddled with sound and video quality, but maybe not enough.

Clark comes up with a glitch that disables me to get to a certain part in the game... :(
When at the Front, right after the ambush and the Purple Pirate that's hiding behind the tree, Clark goes after him, but when he gets to about 3/4 around the tree, he gets stuck, running perpetually in the same place while I can't do anything since it's supposed to be a cutscene. I think it means I'll never be able to visit Ly's House - I don't know if that means anything for the storyline itself, but if it does, I'm screwed.

It is normal the lag. That's an emulator issue that still needs fixing.
