But most of the time spiral is right. I personally thought Spiral was a dick a few weeks ago, but that was only because he made some mistakes that were a bit insulting. And you, then one with the ghost avater, please don't write shit like "Michel Ancel is an a-hole"

Yes. A few posts ago we were talking about play-time for each level, 10-15 minutes I think would be if you played flawlessly, avoided everything, and basically blind-ran through the whole level not paying attention to anything, me- I think I will be dying alot, collecting tons of Lums, searching for cages, scouring for death medallions, and raising my fists to thwart all evil on the screen. I think this game will take a long time...

And about the other thing with this being a nice change from boring games, I think whoever wrote that is totally right, I myself get sick and tired of going over to a friend's house, and all he wants to do is shoot each other and get the best lap-time he can. For me the real fun is in unique, interesting games that leave you with a smile on your face every time you put down the controller, not contorting your face in rage and chucking your controller at the screen because you only got 1 kill and 50 deaths.

You know the guy I asked in youtube what the controls were? Well, I asked him if there is a separate button for hovering. This is his reply:

I guess that ends that argument... for now.

I thought I was in luck because my friend loves platformers too,but I remembered Crash Bandicoot and Rayman which are difficult and now I discovered he doesn't like difficult games xD so now I can't play really difficult platformers, because New Super Mario Bros. is difficult for him hahaha for me this game is too easy,I could beat it in 1 day if I tried with enough time

You know what pisses me off about everyone here who does the whole 'oh no here Spiral goes again' thing is that his arguments themselves are completely valid 90% of the time; in that they directly relate to debating an issue that the board was created for, and yet everyone is so worried about the idea of a 'spiral argument' that more people end up spaming the board with so much 'oh noes' and "spiral=dick' crap that there ends up being more of that than the actual argument. If you don't like the debates, don't read them, but do not spend your time clogging up the board with pointless, stupid whining.
Either contribute or shut up.

Do you realise the previous argument and 'walls of text' was virtually only 1 or 2 posts by spiral. I then had to read through roughly 3 pages of god damn complaining about something that practically didn't happen. Seriously Spiral is one of the most intellectual and thought-provoking members of this site, everyone give up on the bashing and just grow the hell up.

-

And I fully understand the irony of me posting this, considering im adding to the very thing I'm speaking out against, but still, I feel the point needs to be made.

Very well said. And I share the same opinion: he's right in the majority of the times, although I do not agree with his points of view the whole time but if I do not agree with something he said, I try to explain why. And here's the main reason why he is often correct: because he knows how to think and how to argument the stuff. It is necessary some good ammount of general culture here, and I'm sure Spiral is the kind of person that has the habit to read, which is a rare habit to see nowadays (the expensive vocabullary usage also helps to point this). I don't know if other countries have the same subject in High School, but in Portugal we have a High-School "thing", a subject called "Philosophy" and its main purpose is to learn how to think and debate several themes. If anyone wants to suceed in debates, start studying Philosophy. (I speak for personal experience because I had a classmate that was "against everything", and the Philosophy classes were practically participated only by her since she argumented with the teacher until the bell ringing. I do not intend to compare her with Spiral by the way, I'm just pointing out a fact)

I can also clear that despite of Spiral's (apparent) cold way to write, he's one of the members that I respect most in the whole forum, among with Administrators, Global Moderators, Moderators and a few regular members whose names I can't say now. But what makes me feel more annoyed isn't the walls of text that Spiral posts, but the fact that members try to provoke him without any valid argument, making the discussions go nowhere or returning back to zero.

Returning back to Rayman Origins (Sorry if I annoyed anyone)...

It is personal tastes but honestly, I don't think that a game whose goal is too shoot and kill more than the opponent is a fun game, at least myself I get bored fast because shooting games aren't among my tastes.

Rayman Origins will be definitely fun to play, having plenty stuff to unlock and Death Medallions strategically placed to players pass a bit of frustration pleases me. My gain goal in RO will be to unlock everything first, and after I'll try to do speed-runs and perhaps later in the forum we can create a speed-run thread.

I know what you're talking about and I completely agree with you. I have exactly the same problem in my personal life. When I argue with someone on something that matters to me, people just lose their self respect and "end" the argument. People today don't know how to lose.

Speaking for me,I tried to argument everything I said and I couldn't think of more arguments,so I just posted why I think what I think.

About RO,I think that as Haruka said it's all about personal tasted and I think that 10-15 min for one level is OK,but I think those 10-15 min are for a speedrun like the trailers and gameplays.I sometimes got frustrated because in some gameplays the people who was playing didn't even try to get the Skull Medallion, the Cages or even the Lums! I can't stand that xD I will get every Lum I see because then I'll be able to unlock more things and I won't be frustrated haha

I will get the Medallions maybe later when I get the Blue Teensy Wizard, then I will have more fun :D

So... This really isn't coming out for the PC?

...

Ok, let's remove the swearing. :P But really Ubisoft, you failed. And you have also lost MUCH money. Anyway, emulators still exist... :P

Oh, god no! It's a horror game. You're in a castle, unarmed, and it was nominated scariest horror game of 2010.

I was only talking about shooter games. It does sound pretty scary, though.
