Sadly Ancel confirmed it won't exist online mode, because he thinks the multiplayer fun is in the same living room.
As cool as it would be to play with people here, I have to agree that it's more fun when you're in the same room with someone. Also, online play would probably ruin that whole drop-in drop-out aspect.

Of course it's more fun in the same room, but I don't have anyone who would play the game with me. So there you have my problem.

I'll just enjoy myself with single player then.

That's why I understand Ancel's point. In order to co-op mode work well in online, I had to be doing a voice chat with the player I would be playing for we could speak and decide the moves; or else it would be a disaster.

Online gameplay? It would be fun but I don't think the nature of Rayman Origins would be suited to online gaming. Rayman M possibly, but Origins?

Same with me. D: But it's a good thing that Ancel isn't 'forcing' people into co-op (all the collectables are still possible to get even while you're playing alone, right?) As long as that stays, I'm good.

Probably..

We'll see if I can get anybody I know convinced to play. Otherwise I'll have to do with single gameplay. Not that I'm not used to it anyway.

I don't need to force my bf since he wants the game as well so I guess I'm covered for at least 2 players.

Who knows if my brother is a little more tolerant with my fandom since he's a little more mature now. Maybe he likes the slapstick humor enough to even try it.

Well I might have a small possibility too, since my brother is considering of getting a Ps3.. so I could convince him to carry his controller over whenever his family gives a visit here. I doubt his 1,5 year old son would let us play in peace, though.. :P

Back to questions:

-What are the monsters in Rayman Origins inspired by? Are they also based off old stories?
-Is there any chance Rayman will change his appearance again? In other words, are the hoodie and sneakers staying, or may there be more style shifts in the future?

Nope, you still have exactly one day to post questions. And I think I could answer your question: the game explains that the Heart of the World, in its normal state together, broke apart in 1000 Lums, or in another number of Lums according to which version of the game you play (PS1 for example had only 800 Lums). So I would think that once the Heart of the World is together again at the end of Rayman 2, there are no more Yellow Lums. There is the one thing about the amount of Lums in the game though. There are 1000 Lums in the game itself, plus the one Razorbeard ate, so that would make the total 1001 Lums... unless he later, erm, 'dumped' the Lum somewhere. :P

I have another question:
-The UbiArt Framework, is it something exclusive to UbiSoft? Will you lend it to other companies, or even give a simple version of it available to public? Or will we be able to use it in the form of a level designer like Rayman Designer?

Derp no :o

There are 999 to collect and the 1 Razorbeard ate was the 1000th.

You're missing the secret 1000th (or 1001th) lum in the Tomb of the Ancients. It even has it's own little special sound effect when you collect it.

What I meant is that the 1000th Lum, the one Razor ate is in the Tomb of the Ancients.
Trust me, I know more about Rayman than you think I do.

But what's wrong? The Lum that Razor ates appears later in the Tomb of the Ancients, there's no doubt about it. :boon:

Another Question:

Are there any things that were planned but that didn't make it into RO due various reasons (like a picture city world)?

Hang on, how can you possibly know this? ... I see. Because the Heart of the World was formed by 1000 Lums, the Heart must always have a total of 1000 Lums - it's like physics; nothing is ever lost, more like, transferred. So when Razor ate the Yellow Lum, a new one formed by magical energy needing it to be there... the Pirates found it with... I dunno, the Pirate Radar or some freaky device? :boon:
Yeah, this is getting complicated. Let's get back to my original question:
How can you possibly know for certain? Where has it been officially mentioned?
