Re: Rayman Origins
Well, well,well.... I don't get it, if Rayman Origins was supposed to be episodic before, and the pink monster (Big Mama) appeared in the very first trailer of episode 1 (not 2 or 3) and even we can see it in the logo... then how the fuck did it randomly turn into the FINAL BOSS of the entire game?
Also, The Land of the Dead isn't supposed to be like the Star Worlds from NSMBWii? worlds that you can only access by getting all of the collectables but that don't involve the story? Or at least that what I've heard, I dunno.
Ok, I finally got what's the main idea of all of the collectables, except for the one that has rayman's face on it. Ok, so the lums are for some missions that give you electoons if you collect enough, the electoons are for unlocking characters and recovering the memories of Polokus, and the coins open the insanely hard "chest chase" levels. If you destroy all of the cages, they will give you access to the land of the dead.
P.D: this artwork may not be new, but is totally amazing.

Re: Rayman Origins
that doesn't matter. The problem is that the pink monster was going to appear on the FIRST EPISODE, so who was going to be the final boss in...for example, episode 3?Greenbottle3 wrote:Actually it was in the first and second.sergiomonty wrote:Well, well,well.... Re: Rayman Origins
The first trailer was not only for the first episode. Big Mama didn't turn randomly into the final boss. From the beginning it was pretty obvious that it's gonna be the final boss, or the penultimate one at least.sergiomonty wrote:Well, well,well.... The LotD is the last world and is kind of like Candy Chateau. It is very connected to the story and most of the bosses will be there.
I posted a list stating the purpose of all the collectibles we know of. Look for it, it shouldn't be hard to find.
Edit:
It may have been confirmed that when you do the Lum challenges, you get a part of the medallion (Tulio posted a picture from the new gameplay of a medallion where some places have sleeping Lums in them), which means that Lums'll help you get Electoons.iambored2006 wrote:Here's a list of all the collectibles-
• Lums: Currency. With them you can purchase upgrades and get into challenge levels where you have to do complex acrobatic moves.
• Death Medallions: Unlock Chest Levels which in turn unlock the Land of the Dead once all levels are completed.
• Cages/Electoons: Every time you fill a medallion with these, the Bubble Dreamer will give you a skin for one of the characters.
• Betilla: In every level she appears, your goal is to catch her and she will grant you a power.
The first three collectibles appear in every level more than once, and the last collectible has certain levels where it is the goal.

Sounds like Mr Skops is back...

"The game will boast 60 levels in total, equating to roughly 20 hours of gameplay. Of those 60, I've now played three, in addition to a tantalising glimpse at one of the game's ten bosses - a vicious scorpion-type thing."

Re: Rayman Origins
Mr. Skops was pretty cool, so no problems there, but I'm angry at that guy for revealing the final boss!
About there not being a Picture City-like world, I'm not too sad about it, anyways, if you think about it, the WHOLE GAME is like one big picture city! I was more hoping that Band Land and Blue Mountains would come back-and they have!

I wonder if this scorpion guy will be as scary as Scops. I often hear from others that Scops is scary by how he moves.

Re: Rayman Origins
It would be awesome if it was Skops, he is my favourite boss in Rayman 1.
And it appears they also tell the European release date is 25th November, I guess there is no doubts now.
Lucky North Americans, they will be able to play the game 10 days before us!
