I've never seen that but given SNES didn't use models,I don't think so.I mean like normal Wii games, like Mario Kart or Super Mario GalaxyMaster4lyf1 wrote:You mean like Donkey Kong Country on the SNES?TeensieKing wrote:Ok thanks.Yeah,I think that would be possible, maybe in a later game using UbiArt.And could UbiArt look less cartoony and more with models instead of sprites?stan423321 wrote:Doom is a FPS shooter popular in 90s. While it had innovative algorithms and stuff in it, it looked like your typical 3D DOS game, however I selected it because it's most known one.
Doom, while using quite polygonal walls, ceilings and floors, rendered almost everything else as scaled sprites. So your average torch was just old-school animation. Monsters and some other stuff however had 8 sets of sprites depending on vertical direction they looked at (this was not bad, Sonic games used 16 rotations and typical 3D DOS game had 4; also, I neglect symmetry here).
I can imagine UbiArt rendering sprites (although with presumably more sets) in cel-shaded 3D environment. However I have no idea is that possible with whatever algorithms used in it.

UbiArt is specifically tailored for deformation of drawings. So, models in UbiArt is like complex user accounts in home Windows. It technically happened, but in 1998 you wouldn't expect that.

Usually players of R1 start to loose continues in Allegro Presto, but the thing is much worse in Picture City world and Eat At Joe's level of Caves of Skops world.

Picture City and Eat at Joe's (Phase 1 - with the firefly in your fist) are hard levelsHaruka wrote:Usually players of R1 start to loose continues in Allegro Presto, but the thing is much worse in Picture City world and Eat At Joe's level of Caves of Skops world.
Allegro Presto isn't that hard, i like the speed in that level
Re: Rayman 1
Allegro Presto was really cool, I rejoiced more at Bongo friggin' Hills! I've also got a few litres of typical Polish soup to soothe my nerves also. And later I had to replay the level to un-lose the continues. The Red Drummers are cool.

We don’t know their names because they weren’t in Rayman Designer.

Not really, you need to be in the right position of the platform and duck, and since they can come from both directions, you can be in a pretty tight situation.Mr. Dark Thingamajig wrote:why is that a fricking fish, it's easy to dodge himShrooblord wrote:It has been said before and I will repeat it once more:Mr. Dark Thingamajig wrote: Eat at Joe's

Re: Rayman 1
Right, but according to Hunch, you can also fist them (Something I've never tried). I usually avoid them in other ways, which are a bit more risky.

Re: Rayman 1
Well, for me it's the thing that the fish themselves aren't hard, but in addition to all the rest, they suddenly jump out and surprise me again. For example, I have to keep on the ball, watch out for obstacles, jump over, land back on the ball... WHATTHEFRICK A FISH - damnit now I'm dead. They always come up ON TOP of everything else.
But I can see how they can be considered easy - though I don't know how easy it is to dodge them on the PC - on the DSi, not fun. Not fun at all.

Re: Rayman 1
PC R1 has the most WTF controls in my humble opinion. If DSi's R1 is like RAdv, then I would consider it easier, though I didn't try this part in them to be honest.
Re: Rayman 1
DSi might even be the easiest. If I am in need of life, I can simply play the first part of Allergo Presto and then SKIP the rest of the level and with minutes i'll have 10 new life's. I managed to get past Eat at Joe's without using even one continue, but the first time I played on the DSi version it took me eight continues, so that isn't exactly much easier.stan423321 wrote:PC R1 has the most WTF controls in my humble opinion. Re: Rayman 1
I still have no idea when I menage to get R1 for DSi. I'm saving everything I can for RO now.

Check out the article about the game, but don't mind the official website, as it will lead you to TRAVEL IN TIME.
