Re: Rayman himself
I suppose Jell-O, the trademarked US jelly, does not fit the context?

Re: Rayman himself
‘Jello’ is the American word. Everyone else calls it ‘jelly’.
(We’re talking about this stuff, right?)

Re: Rayman himself
Either way, jello and jelly are the same thing, just a different name.
Re: Rayman himself
I didn't know that jello was the same as jelly, that cause me some confusion at the time. I should revise the subtitles I have and confirm the words that aren't probably correct, but at least I'm sure that around 98% is perfect translation.
Re: Rayman himself
It took me a while to learn this too really. American english can be a pretty confusing if you only learned Brittish english at school. I seriously hated it that my teacher put up the same accent aswell.Haruka wrote:I didn't know that jello was the same as jelly, that cause me some confusion at the time. Re: Rayman himself
I hadn't any problems subtitling the episodes, but I naturally had to repeat several times every dialogue to make sure I was writting up the perfect translation of every dialogue of every character.

Re: Rayman himself
Define real jelly.
Re: Rayman himself
8C but they don't sell the stuff in the Netherlands...
Maybe if I go with my family on vacation to England. Though that won't be in a while. I made a deal with my mother that we would go to a faraway land every 5 years, and America is first on the list starting next year.
(Real jelly as in just...jelly. We litteraly DON'T have it here. Always that sour icky yogurt for dessert really gets on my nerves.)

Ah, they don't sell jelly at yours. Well, in Poland there are like 10 brands of jellies, so it's different here.
Re: Rayman himself
My grandmother uses something jelly-ish to fill her strawberry cakes, but that's always in the complete cake mix boxes with only enough to fill the cake. Not just to make some wobbly shiny jelly on a plate.

Taste is quite similar in case of stuff I ate.
Also. Jelly tastes best when with fruit and cream in my opinion.

I'll buy a box if I find one.
