Re: Rayman Origins
The Saturn version has some modifications that arguably give it the edge over the others, but it’s quite rare, and not many people still have the console. The PlayStation and PC versions are much easier to find, and you already have a computer (and probably a PlayStation of some description).GoombaXx wrote:awh boo screen compression >.<Haruka wrote:Rayman Advance's screen compression also makes the gameplay even more difficult.

My personal recomendation is for you to get the PlayStation version, it is the easiest one to find.GoombaXx wrote: What console should I get Rayman 1 for then?
You can also try out the PC version of Rayman 1 if you don't give much trouble to some missing musics, but the cages in this version are much harder to find than in the PS1.

Just some gameplay. There's a Ubisoft employee in the vid. Hadn't watched it through, some info could be revealed.

It was new for me. I prefer the second one as I was really disappointed this music wouldn't be avilable on RayTunes.Rulez wrote:Maybe he meant the 3rd one?Mr. Dark Thingamajig wrote:just a guessRayTunes wrote:Sure, I need to go to college there anyways. Rayman, definitely not, but since Globox is a red wizard, we may see him do some magic of sorts.Mr. Dark Thingamajig wrote:i hope the teensie are the only who can do some magic, it would be weird if you saw rayman and globox doing that

Re: Rayman Origins
Oooh, yes! We may see some more of that Gift of his. I wonder if we'll ever see a Globox perform a Fire Dance as described in that ancient piece of preview text for Rayman 2. It would seem to me that from that text it becomes clear that the Globox species is really a master of all elements, not just rain - which is incredibly exciting of course. Who doesn't want to see a legless frog control a flowing stream of molten rock?Master4lyf1 wrote:Rayman, definitely not, but since Globox is a red wizard, we may see him do some magic of sorts.
Re: Rayman Origins
It should have been in Rayman 3. Why was Globox barely in R2 anyways? He was amazing in Rayman 3!
Re: Rayman Origins
That would be cool - if he only was free in HHQ, he would just dance and destroy the whole machinery!RayTunes wrote:It should have been in Rayman 3. Why was Globox barely in R2 anyways? He was amazing in Rayman 3!

Re: Rayman Origins
On the note of things being absent in Rayman 3, where did Ly go? Or Uglette? Or Ssssam (although I can see this character disappearing not to be that strange, as they wouldn't be visiting the Marshes of Awakening again)? OR CLARK?! Or for heaven's sake, POLOKUS! Where is the god that would be able to stop the whole Hoodlum invasion to begin with?
In short: where are all the awesome people from the Rayman series (except Rayman himself)?

I have always missed Sssam in Rayman 3. Such a plain, yet, interesting character.Shrooblord wrote:On the note of things being absent in Rayman 3, where did Ly go? Or Uglette? Re: Rayman Origins
And Carmen, don't forget about her :F
Minding their own business? But, seriously, if all these characters appeared in R3, I'm afraid there would be too many NPCs already. The game would have to be longer (and story would completely change). It means more work, what means more money spent on game.
But, that's only mine opinion. :B
Edit: I've always liked Sssam. Unfortunately, when I played R2 month ago(?), the snake have turned in my headcanon (is that how people call it?) from lonely outcast to crybaby :T he needs moar bawlz!
Edit2: lol what is grammar

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but headcanon is probably not the word, no.Louvis wrote: Edit: I've always liked Sssam. Unfortunately, when I played R2 month ago(?), the snake turned in my headcanon (is that how people call it?) from outcast to crybaby :T he needs moar bawlz!
Crybaby? Why would you say that? He's been locked up in a cage for who knows long and then five minutes after he's freed and finally sees his one friend again, his friend leaves him, to go back into the Piranha-infested swampy muck. That's kind of sad in itself.
Though I know what you mean. I think the tear thing was just another way of expressing the toonyness of Rayman - an overdone emotion is a typical characteristic of a cartoon.

Re: Rayman Origins
Uh... I saw in one video that they changed the way in which globox uses the blow attack. On the first trailer he can be seen moving his arms (very similar to the way in which he flies) to make rayman fly higher. Now globox turns into a weird position and opens his mouth to use his breath.
P.D: Sorry, but I have to agree, Ssssam is a great character, but he's such a faggot, let's face it. We haven't seen any lum or teensy crying for being caught into a cage. Sssssam is a complete crybaby
