(I'm reposting this because I totally changed what I said with more stuff.)

Well I said I would prefer not to have body rigs for limbless characters, because if you think about it, do limbless people have bones in their arms and legs? No they do not, because they don't have arms legs. However their hands, torsos, faces and feet do, which is why I prefer to have only those rigged.

So that3Dguy, when you make rigs for me can you leave the arms and legs without a rig and unconnected? I'm not trying to sound mean at all or anything, it's just a request. :)

I can't figure out how to rig properly. Every tutorial I've looked at doesn't explain things properly through my own perception. Would you be so kind as you rig Rayman's face, torso, hands and feet if I give you the model? I'll give you some tings if you want.

In the torso I'd want three bones: and upper, middle, and bottom.

In the feet: back, middle, and front.

In the hair: base, end.

The face you can do later because it's probably a lot more complicated. In the face: jaw up-down, mouth corners up-down (smile-frown), narrow-wide (ooh-eee), eyes, eyelids, left-outside brow up-down, left-inside brow up-down, right-outside brow up-down, right-inside brow up-down.

Alright that's fine. :) For the time being I care more about the other stuff listed that wasn't the facial rig, so you don't have to worry about that yet.

What are the advantages to having and not having a control object?

Also I decided to scrap the Rayman M/Arena hair and redo it myself. I tried to make it as close the "photo" hair as I could:

Next up I'll work on the shoes and torso.

Try to make it so I can grab either the bones or the controller. Is that doable?

Hi-poly "photo" Rayman is coming along great! Take note of the hair and feet so far (I completely redid them from scratch). Also on a sidenote, I've fixed the issue of Rayman's right foot being numb! Apparently whatever was first on the list to export to CE3 (of Rayman's limbs) got frozen, so I just made an invisible replacement and it all works perfectly.

Awesome stuff Rayfan1 Just one thing, I think the circle on Rayman's Torso looks a bit smudgy, it should be more shaped like a regular circle. (Again just my opinion no criticism intended.)

I anticipate the final results of your remodelling, you really are giving Rayman the Hi-Def look he deserves

If you think he looks cute now, wait til you see him with his new scarf! I'm at school right now but I'll put up a picture tonight.

In my opinion, I think I've got the perfect look for what I'm going for. I also wish to improve the eyelids/brow area.
