Re: Rayman M-Arena
BUT IM GOOD in the battle mode, just that im better at race
Re: Rayman M-Arena
Race mode is pretty easy, I think, whereas Battle mode can be challenging if you set the difficulty to "Ultrahard" and select one opponent

Re: Rayman M-Arena
That is one of my favourite diehard things in games. One-on-one showdowns with near-impossible to beat characters.Xenon wrote:Race mode is pretty easy, I think, whereas Battle mode can be challenging if you set the difficulty to "Ultrahard" and select one opponent
Re: Rayman M-Arena
Yeah, I actually found those battles to be more difficult than any of the others in the main games. Although of course being a far inferior game, RM does have a lot of playability to offer in terms of a challenge.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
Exactly. The most hard combination a player can do is Ultra Hard + 1 opponent + Lum Spring + 5 Lums.Xenon wrote:Race mode is pretty easy, I think, whereas Battle mode can be challenging if you set the difficulty to "Ultrahard" and select one opponent
In here I win as many times I lose.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
And you know it's darn hardcore when Haruka manages to lose.Haruka wrote:In here I win as many times I lose.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
I think I tried that once... and won. Don't know if that sais anything about me being lucky, or me having DA SKILLZ... yeah, probs just luck.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
I had to repeat a couple of times before I could win this:
But I think that it is necessary mostly luck for the Lums positions.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
Haha, you actually know exactly where each Lum is going to spawn - or at least, that it will spawn near you... well, that works too! I've always found it highly annoying at the time, though also quite fun afterwards, when a computer freezes you right in front of the Lum and then casually walks over to nab it himself.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
I don't know if I'm the only player of Rayman M that takes full use of the Radar. Knowing also the pre-programmed locations of the Lums in every battle arena also helps too.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
Oh, no, I use the Radar all the time. But you really seemed to be waiting for that Lum when Razorbeard went off to grab one in the far distance.Haruka wrote:I don't know if I'm the only player of Rayman M that takes full use of the Radar. Yeah, the Radar is really useful.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
In the last Lum I was lucky. In these circunstances it is more clever to wait that the CPU gets the Lum when he is already close to it, and wait for some Lum to appear close to where you are stared. It is part of my strategy of combat.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
Yeah, I do that sometimes too, though I will sometimes also just try to grab it anyway and hope that the computers aim for each other and not for me. My jumpy-zigzaggy walking style dodge technique works marvels.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
I think it's PC becuse on the menu there's instructions to how to confim, move and go back and they show a mouse.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
Not only that, but in my video title I have "(PC)" for some reason.Rulez wrote:I think it's PC becuse on the menu there's instructions to how to confim, move and go back and they show a mouse.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
You are right and they are right in a way, Rayman M and Rayman Arena on the PS2, PC are almost identical, there is a minimal difference between the two, these are:Raymanarenaps2 wrote:Um, my freind i met said that RAYMAN arena is beter then rayman m, but they look the same...
However, The Europeans did not get Rayman M on the Xbox and Gamecube, the Americans did, but it is quite different with even more characters such as Dark Rayman, these differences have also been noted:RayWiki wrote:The PlayStation 2 and PC versions of the game very closely mimic their overseas counterparts. Most changes were for localization, such as changing any ‘Rayman M’ logos into ‘Rayman Arena’. The only other major change difference lies in the addition of the LAN mode to the PC version. There is no longer a map for the race tracks in the lower right-hand corner of the screen, and, as in Rayman Rush, Ice Bullets have now been added to the Race mode and Lum Race.
RayWiki wrote:The Xbox and GameCube had never received a port of Rayman M (due to the consoles having not been released at the time of Rayman M's release), so the designers made several changes before releasing the Rayman M ports (many pertaining to Battle mode).
Modifications
This is a list of notable modifications to the Xbox and GameCube ports, among others.
A new intro video was used.
The menus had undergone major changes in navigation and aesthetically.
‘Cups’ replaced the prior ‘Leagues’ and setup in the single-player mode was changed.
Murfy is seen as a reporter/paparazzo before the start of each cup in a brief comical video.
Lock-on has been added for less-experienced players in Battle mode.
Hearts are now used in Battle mode to recognize health (instead of hit points), and one heart can be regained by killing an opponent.
A player is given 6 possible hearts, with 5 filled when a player respawns. (The 6th is left open in case of a kill without the loss of any hearts.)
There is a visible timer in Battle mode.
There are three modes, which reflect the difficulty of the game.
Master Mode features only Dark Rayman as an opponent (albeit his AI is much improved from other characters), is played in black-and-white, as well as using cel-shaded graphics.
There are more playable characters, including Dark Globox and Dark Rayman.
Popolopoi mode has been removed.
Training mode has been removed.
On and On has been removed.
The small animations that characters do upon finishing a race have been replaced with the character entering a spiral door.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
I do find a pity that Rayman Arena of GC got exclusive in the NA. The darn Dolphin emulator still cannot play it 100%.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
You know what, I wouldn't say ice bullets in Races are a minor change. They may be deal-breakers. Dunno though as I played only RM (and RRush for a second, but come on).
