Only complaint I'd have is that Flips is way too big. She looks fine against Moskito, but against Rayman she's about half-to-three-quarters of his height even without the hat, and she was nowhere near that tall in the show,

It looks great though @_@
It's very easily fixable. I actually knew that was a problem, I just totally forgot to fix it.

And thanks! :)

Well as we know, it wasn't a hundred percent clear if we killed Mister Dark or not, so my story is that he fled after you beat him, weakened, then went into hiding for a short while in his old age before he passed away.

YES I'M SERIOUS -waves "Ray1 virgin and proud" flag-

And I meant that when I read the offending text, I stopped, read it again, read it a third time then my brain sort of cracked and started spouting random thought gibberish. Mostly comprised of "AFSFSGDGF WHAT"

This game of yours has done bad things to my headcanon. xD

Wow, that's the most anticlimatic ending for a badguy I have ever seen. Ever. :P
It's a good one though - fitting, and not disappointing, though I think Mr. Dark would have wanted to go out with a bang, no?

By the way, it just so happens that my other computer does support CryEngine and now I've finally played around with it...
GOD IT'S AWESOME. Yep I've been converted. Can I ask you a few questions about it once I dive more into it, or would you rather I seek my advice elsewhere?

Oh but wait, there's more!

The Magician:

And a gameplay video like promised:
This is The Dream Forest in both night and day. It alternates between the two according to where you are in the game.

I redid the system and it's a lot smoother, but there are still things I'm obviously working on, like the fact that his right foot won't move, o_O the jumping abilities, the way he turns (this is just a replacement while I work on the actual Rayman 2 style turning), and the whole aspect in general. Unlike in the other video I haven't created helicopter hair yet.

If you're wondering why there's no charge levels, well at the beginning of the game, it's the first time you ever have that power. Betilla was working on a energy-ball style weapon, but had to give it to Rayman unfinished because of his unexpected but urgent journey.
wait a minute i think you need to add a turbo smooth or mesh smooth modifier to it  (well that what i think)

It's already been smoothed.

@Shroob:
I always thought of Mister Dark to be at heart a coward. Instead of rounding up an army or facing you head on, he used dark magic to make people go on his side (all the bosses from R1). So I think of his end as a shameful one on his part. During his life he was powerful yet a coward. In death, he went out as a weak coward.

And yes, you may ask me anything you wish! I've had four years of experience, I want to share my knowledge somewhat. Though I won't directly make things for you.

Yep, that sounds like a logical way of deduction. But I think I've always seen Mr. Dark as someone who thinks Rayman is 'not worthy' of his sourcery and might and that he thus does not confront him openly. But I see where you're coming from and I really like the psychological profile you created for the evil wizard.

Thanks a lot! And no, I wouldn't expect any different - busy busy busy! ;)
