I honestly don't find a good idea.

I would like to say to Ubisoft that if they ever plan to make another R2 remake, that better to have the Globox Village and the DLC minigames or else I won't be interested.

PS1 version remake? Now this would be quite ridicolous.

Still R2-EVERYTHING remake with additional stuff would be interesting, but unfortunately additional stuff will not happen with current UbiSoft.

I always thought they should remake the DC version in HD with a "Revolution" mode for those who enjoyed Revolution in HD too.

The Hall of Door is also in the PC version. And I like it too (better than just an island, an abstract corridor in the time-space continuum :p).^^
PC version is the one I prefer : original content, and orchestral musics. Though, I only played the N64 version. x) The MIDI musics are really great (there is a serious work behind), but certainly less than the orchestral.^^

That’s not possible. Revolution is a completely different game.

Yeah, it's totally not possible to make two old games reusing big bunch of assets and code on a single disk.

Even like that, the Dreamcast when released was one or two generations more forward than the Nintendo 64 and the PlayStation One.

I did not say that two games could not be included on the same disc. Revolution is too different from The Great Escape to be reduced to some sort of ‘mode’.

I guess when you think about it, you're correct, but I'd like both games to exist simultaneously in some way.

I dare to disagree. Case in point: tLoZ:OoT 2Q.

Kinda can't believe that.

I'm expecting spiral saying that this is quite more similar to the original than in case of R2 and RR. This is true, but let's look at this from another perspective: when you consider putting R2 mode in RR and not the other way, then esentially things you have to program I think are hall of doors and old levels, not to mention separate power management module. Not that much, even if it is only half of the job.

I know what Ocarina of Time is, but I didn’t know you were referring to the 3DS version, and I still don’t know what ‘2Q’ stands for, hence my confusion.

I don’t think a free-roaming game could be combined successfully with a linear game in such a way that it’s possible to switch back and forth between them, which I take to be the definition of ‘mode’ (as opposed to simply including both games on the same disc). The Front would allow the player to move in ways that The Great Escape is not designed to handle. The final product would be riddled with sequence breaks. Most players would not be familiar with the differences between the versions, and therefore would have no idea when or why they should switch.

I thought about something more similar to actually including two games with upgrading shared assets. I wouldn't say that switching back and forth between two interpretations of game is what defines a gameplay mode.
