Re: Favorite Games
I always preferred push-button gaming over motion gaming.
I'll probably buy a classic controller to play Rayman Origins.

I would totally love it if they would make Origins NGC-controller compatible but I don't think so.Greenbottle3 wrote:I always preferred push-button gaming over motion gaming.

I wouldn't have to buy a second Wiimote to play with my uncle or dad...

Re: Favorite Games
They made Mario Kart Wii GCN controller compatible.
But that's Nintendo, we're talking about Ubisoft and RO.

Re: Favorite Games
Personally, I find the Wii remote a very comfortable controller to play 2D games with.

Re: Favorite Games
My favorite kind of games are the classic 2D sidescroller, like the SMB serie. ^^
You're not alone, I'm a huge nintendo fanboy too x)
Well, yes, now, peoples call themselves "Hardcore gamers" even tought they only play Call Of Duty >_> The game must be good, but the fans are tard for the most part.

Seeing as I'm some huge Nintendo nut on a Rayman site, I thought you guys would turn on me, littering my games with Nintendo ones. Many people in my school seem to despise Nintendo. God damn them!!!! I feel so alone but I can get a new rat!!
Oh and Skyward Sword is EPIC apart from the fact no left-handers and I'm left-handed but I can play right-handed for Zelda.

I saw my cousin playing Call of Duty today. I watched for five minutes and got bored. Same with Halo.Arz wrote:My favorite kind of games are the classic 2D sidescroller, like the SMB serie. ^^

Shigeru Miyamoto is left handed too so why did he make his own game for only right-handers?

RANDOM FACT: Parents usually mistakingly force left-handed children to learn to use right hand and not the other way.

Oh Christ. Thankfully I have OK parents.stan423321 wrote:RANDOM FACT: Parents usually mistakingly force left-handed children to learn to use right hand and not the other way.
Re: Favorite Games
I have to say that Mario has kept its recipe very well. Games such as New Super Mario Bros. Wii are just as much fun as the old days. Sonic, however, went through this ten year long time in which each game is worse than the other. Sonic Generations has been their smartest move ever. Rayman, he just disappeared for some years... unless you count the Rabbids.Arz wrote:My favorite kind of games are the classic 2D sidescroller, like the SMB serie. ^^
I play a wide variety of games, but i'll just be childish and say that I like Mario and Rayman over anything.

Re: Favorite Games
Yep, 2D platform is really an efficient recipe!^^ Even if if don't find New SMB very inventive, he is really fun. There is also Donkey Kong Country Returns which is one of the best games of the past year. *_* (and Super Meat Boy… :3)
As a developer from the Ubi-art team said, we can still do a lot of things with 2D! It has certainly not been fully exploited, and I believe it will never be (as we can again write originals novels, despite it exist since several centuries).
And for myself, I also like exploration's game.
Like Zelda (Wind Waker and Majora's Mask… *_*), Aquaria, or Metroid (hum, I only played the Metroid Prime, I haven't finished it… Yet I really enjoyed this game, but, I don't know, lazy…), and in some ways, Mario 64 and Sunshine, and Banjo-Kazooïe.^^ But the games where the player has to do round and return, with no character for saying where he have to go, have become really rare, I find. :/ I really regret the time where we haven't a magic line to follow, or a fairy to tell you EXACTLY where you have to go, or a "open-world" with only corridors.
In A Link to the Past, the first sentence before playing was "Don't follow me", and the player had to follow his uncle. Now, maybe it would be considered as hardcore gaming?
And I play a little some shoot-them-up or rhythm games, because they don't need a brain to be played, and I don't have one ! :3

Re: Favorite Games
^ I agree with the entire statement. And what about Minecraft. That has got to be the most addictive game in existence.
Dammit! I thought i'd be in luck, moving to America, being able to get Origins earlier than all of you. BUT Nintendo decided to release Super Mario 3D Land almost two weeks later than in Europe. I'm gonna crack! I need that game! NOW!

Re: Favorite Games
I was just replaying Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and the music is EPIC!
I still wish they had released a soundtrack.
I must have played that game a hundred times, and it hasn't gotten boring yet. I want to make a topic about Paper Mario games, but I'd feel wierd making another Off Topic-Topic.

The soundtrack can be found relatively easily on the net. I've downloaded it a few month ago, I'll try to recover the link.

Re: Favorite Games
Ah, found it!^^
Unfortunately, the file is in 4 parts. :/ It's quite annoying, but I haven't found any other goods sources.
(finally, it isn't that easily… probably because there isn't an official soundtrack)
So, here is the link!
This music is the image of the game : crazy, psychedelic, awesome!

Re: Favorite Games
You totally missed out on this awesome site! It's got many OSTs of games on Nintendo systems. As far as I know you need to download the tracks one by one though.
