Erm, couldn't you make sabbath-OK pizza? What exactly is prohibited? Because if mixing ham meat with cheese counts as mixing milk with meat, well, it work this way all the time... so I can't come up with anything.iambored2006 wrote:That's nothing! 3 days without pizza! 3 WHOLE DAYS WITHOUT PIZZA!!! Oh, it's only a matter of liking or disliking warmed up pizza. I mean, I can't buy pizza during the sabbath, so I'll have to buy it before and heat it up every time I want a slice. Doesn't really warm up your appetite, does it?stan423321 wrote:Erm, couldn't you make sabbath-OK pizza? What exactly is prohibited? Couldn't you just buy all of the ingredients and make your own pizza? Or aren't you allowed to do that either?iambored2006 wrote:Oh, it's only a matter of liking or disliking warmed up pizza. Woah, now it's getting a bit complicated, so brace yourself. Firstly, I don't like my own pizza. I'm not much of a cook. Yes, I can make my own pizza, but only in the first 2 days, which are considered "holiday" and you can use a fire in a holiday, as opposed to the sabbath, when you can't use any fire at all.Tobbe wrote:Couldn't you just buy all of the ingredients and make your own pizza? You could consider in the future to go live in Europe. At least you have Pizza Hut restaurants, with delicious plates.

Yes, oven = fire for such reasons. It's obvious that Bible doesn't speak about ovens.
On the other hand, certain types fo pizza are good reheated.

My girlfriend and I walked out of a Pizza Hut restaurant without paying on Saturday because of the ridiculously slow service and cold pizza. We got a little more than the free pre-meal saladHaruka wrote:You could consider in the future to go live in Europe. At least you have Pizza Hut restaurants, with delicious plates.

That's the whole idea: I can't buy anything. I can't use money, or even handle it! Not that I want to, any wayHaruka wrote:You could consider in the future to go live in Europe. At least you have Pizza Hut restaurants, with delicious plates.

I agree, Pizza Hut is awful nowadays. I think they changed the kind of cheese or something, or maybe I just grew on another pizza and need some time to readjust, anyway I'm not gonna touch another one in at least a week.
On another note, today's the day the arabs are gonna ask the UN to consider letting them declare a palestinian state. The violence has already started. I'm afraid to go on a bus.

Re: Off Topic
This is going to sound very silly but are vegetarian versions of pork considered kosher? By that I mean made of soya instead or something.

Re: Off Topic
Yes, of course. Only problem is, you can't really find a soya ham in Israel. You can take soya beef, for example, and cook it in milk or something, and it would be completely kosher. In fact, I've always wanted to try that.Cairnie wrote:This is going to sound very silly but are vegetarian versions of pork considered kosher? By that I mean made of soya instead or something.
BTW, any bit of real pork, if it's more than 1/60 (E.G. one drop of chicken soup in 60 drops of milk would be kosher), isn't kosher. I wasn't able to eat ice cream in england because the gelatin in it is made of pig's bones. (Although I do have a very vague memory of eating an ice cream cone in england when I was small. Probably in Golders Green, though.)
Re: Off Topic
Is the service that bad in other countries?
Everytime I went to eat in Pizza Hut, the service was fast and the pizzas tasted great.

For me it varied really, but it was generally positive experience. All other local pizza bars I've been to were worse.
Ice cream with gelatine? Ouch.

Re: Off Topic
@Haruka: not usually, the ones around here and in London are usually really nice.
Pork is the one meat all the vegetarian/vegan meal companies still need to work on maybe apart from frankfurters, otherwise it's gotten better over the years, especially beef mince.
They still put gelatine in ice cream, what? It shouldn't be, considering vegetarianism/veganism is a growing market here, but then again I still can't eat a bunch of desserts thanks to both gelatine and cochineal.
