I've got a question about Revolution. In cinematics and cutscenes, Rayman is regularly seen walking around, as opposed to running. Also, in the PC version, this same effect could be achieved by holding the SHIFT button. Is there a way to WALK in Revolution? I sure would like it, since it's an excellent way of sneaking past Pirates and sometimes it looks better if Ray enters walking.

I think you can just push the analog stick a little less and he'll walk, as it is in all of the console versions.

Quite so, it also works on the PC version when you have a gamepad attached

Rayman DS is the worst Rayman 2 ever made, and the iPod Touch/iPhone comes next.

Rayman DS' graphics are not only worse than the original N64 version (they weren't that pixelized), it has got nonsense glitches, the touch screen interaction is a failure (if you are left hander I think it does not constitute a big problem, but how the heck can you shoot and jump if you are right-handed? An option to trade the letter buttons with the D-Pad buttons would have been nicer if it existed.) and running in diagonals with the D-Pad is a pain (My left thumb got hurted everytime I played long time in my original DS, now the gameplay is much more confortable when playing in a DS Lite, and surely in a DSi/DSi XL too). There's even an option to turn off the backlight of the upper screen and/or the down screen, when actually what it does is to turn off the screen/s completly. Imagine how useful it is turning off the backlight of the upper screen. And if that is done in the down screen, how do you know if there's a missing Lum, a missing cage, how much energy/oxygen Rayman has got and how much energy does have got the enemy? :boon:

The iPod Touch version which I tried for around midhour, despite of the nice graphics, the walking/running "button" is terrible at response. I don't know if finger prints interfered or if it was that bad the software of touch-recognization.

I agree completely, though to be fair, I just can't see a 3D platformer work well on a touch device, due to the fact that some have a lot of controls and a touch-analogue stick just does not fell right.

I'm glad Ubisoft gave up in the iPad version of RO.

I managed to play the Ps1 version of Rayman 2 on my PSP with the D-Pad, but I didn't have the control being uncomfortable, perhaps because the D-Pad is larger than the DS's

The original DS D-Pad is hard, while the other later models are much more flexible and soft.

The gameplay is more confortable in a DS Lite, but it does not fix the diagonals problem obviously.

I definitely found it playable with the exception of Sanctuary of Rocks and Lava though. I also loved low-polygon model of Rayman; the music was horrible though.

MIDI. Don't compare it to WAV.

That can be fixed if you low down the music to almost mute.
