I meant that citing sales statistics is absolutely pointless in any discussion of a product’s quality.
Transformers made lots of money too.
RayTunes wrote:Plus, that still does not explain the lack of the C.E.
Ubisoft have obviously decided that a Wii CE would not be profitable, and they’re probably correct. You’ll just have to deal with that.
RayTunes wrote:I could easily afford a PS3 or XBox, but the game collection isn't much of my style, though the XBox might be a consideration.
The selection of games available on these systems is a separate issue. As I said, your standards are not as high as mine.
RayTunes wrote:I have nothing against HD, but why is it of such importance?
Because it hugely improves the aesthetic qualities of practically any audiovisual entertainment product.
RayTunes wrote:Why do always have to be notified by it?
Because it’s a major selling point. It would be very stupid for the marketing department of the companies involved not to mention it.
RayTunes wrote:Why is YouTube loaded with comments worshiping it?
YouTube is loaded with idiots espousing every viewpoint imaginable. There are as many comments bashing HD as there are praising it. ‘Lots of people on YouTube worship X’ is not a valid argument against X.
RayTunes wrote:It isn't anything new or special.
No, PC games have been able to run in far higher resolution for a very long time. Nonetheless HD is a large step forward for home consoles. As I’ve said, I really don’t care if a subset of people find some esoteric reason to bury their heads in the sand and pretend that video resolution is a non-issue. Just don’t bash HD.
RayTunes wrote:HD is fine, and my Blu-Ray was worth its money.
I’m glad to hear you think so.
