MLII, did you not notice the recruitment topic that's been up for oh, say, two weeks? :P

Considering that you uploaded that to photobucket... is that you? If so, you're damn good looking. :mryellow:

No, they drink because of bad habits. In other words, they're addicted. Believe me, I know, everyone in my family's addicted to alcohol and caffeine. They admit it, but they won't stop. Idiots. Thankfully, my dad despises alcohol, so me and my brother puke our souls out every time we drink it. It's just a matter of nurture. On the other hand, both my dad and my mom are addicted to coffee, but my brother doesn't drink a sip. I used to be addicted. To prove to my family my case wasn't as bad as theirs, I stopped drinking for half a year. It made me spring a few centimeters and I've completely stopped drinking coffee.
I have no idea where you got this oddly disturbing notion from. On this side of the planet people usually drink for light pleasure. I guess you don't have a legal drinking age either. My brother (who's 19) only has a drink during parties and he enjoys it. What's wrong with that? He's not even remotely addicted in any form. I've tried alcohol before and frankly I don't even like it. It's just a drink with some side effects if you drink to much. It seems like you can only tell the difference between never drinking and thoroughly addicted. That doesn't make an ounce of sense.

This is the line that annoys the heck out of me, as it only applies to less than 10% of drinkers.

You shouldn’t have told her! It would have been hilarious if I’d gotten her to think that I was Alex DeLarge, and given her a tremendous shock when she finally got round to seeing the film.

I chose the picture simply because it summed up my feelings quite well.

Malcolm McDowell it is. He also happens to be holding the exact same glass with the same substance as the one I'm holding.

I **really**don't think caffeine can literally burn a hole in your nose when you have too much, like cocaine can...

I drink three mugs of tea a day, without exception. A mug is about the size of two cups. Am I an addict?

I drink two, but I don't think that being addicted to tea may be something to be aware of or maybe even possible (correct me if I'm wrong).
Speaking of addictions, is it posibble to be 'very' addicted to Coca-Cola or Pepsi?

I do get a headache if I go for more than a few hours without tea, so I guess that might mean I have a reliance on caffeine or something.

A friend of mine seems to be, as he drinks loads of it every day. He takes a while to throw the cans and bottles out too, so I guess you can imagine what his room looks like.

I drink 2-3 mugs of coffee (rather strong; lots of milk and sugar) - that one I use only for coffee is pretty big (it may easily contain 3 cups) :mryellow: one of my friends drinks over 4 cans of energy drinks per day (wouldn't be so weird, but he drinks it just like water). Personally I hate stuff like that... unless I have hard exam next day and got to stay up for whole night to study :T

Out of curiousity - this site may tell you how much of your favorite energy drink, soda, or caffeinated food would it take to kill you. It would take 84 cups of brewed coffee to kill me. So... I need to drink 40~ mugs more in one day.

I drink 3-4 mugs of black coffee everyday, sometimes with a few teasppons of suger at Starbucks. Very rarely do I drink tea and I don't drink any energy drinks.

Speaking about energy drinks. Katie Tiedrich of Awkward Zombie drank 3 cans of 'Monster', which is an American energy drink which tastes like vomit, yes?

I sometimes drink Red Bull, it can't be unhealthy for me if I drink it once in a long while, right?

Absolutely not, it's just sugar, caffeine and an insignificant amount of taurine.

That might well be, but caffeine withdrawal symptoms usually present 12-24 hours after stopping your caffeine intake, so getting a headache after just a few hours would seem strange. It's possible that the headache is a product of the nocebo effect.
