@haruka and danone: ive tried fraps in the past, and unfortunately it makes playing impossible because the movement is utterly slow and groggy, plus you need to pay for the full version. thanks for the advice nevertheless :)
MandM81 wrote: I hate to rain on your parade, but you didn't earn 10 points. Your combo is worth 10 points more, yes, but you lose 10 points by not taking the yellow gem with a Powersuit. So the end result is the same. Good combo though. :)

It's not the best video quality I've ever seen, but you can see what's going on. Keep 'em coming!
dang, my life's destroyed Image
thanks for enlightening me, i always forget to take these things into consideration as well.
well, like mentioned already, i would appreciate a decent recording program very much, but i've tried so many which didn't even deliver mediocre quality or caused a lot of trouble.
and thanks, ive recently discovered that it's pretty fun trying to investigate the area for more points and pushing the boundaries further.

ah yeah, and xenon is beaten :P

being the gentleman i am, ill take a short break for now to keep myself motivated and to prevent the game from losing it's appeal.

MandM, I wonder how hell you keep the combo here:

I always lose the combo after the kipflips there are after the red gem, maybe a good angle

I assume you mean after the red gem? I land on the very edge of the pathway and thus get launched into the air, so I can continue the kickflipping. The problem with this combo, besides getting the green gem, is that you have to land exactly on the edge. Otherwise it's not working.

Mostwanted: Congratulations with FC. You are now the only third person to pass the 850k barrier. :teuf:

Wonder when Xenon will respond to that?

Here is my in the snowboard level, playing kipflips and how I DIDN'T get the green gem
(Look at minute 1.10, because there are two kipflips that probably nobody but me found, and you can get 2 Hoodlocks in a combo, one for 100 points and another for 200 points):

There are some interesting things going on in SBTC part 3. The launching glitches can be found in many places, and here and there you can get "stuck" while still being able to kickflip. You can earn loads of points that way. When I have the time some day I'll try to record some of these glitches.

The one on your video is cool. The most interesting thing must be to find a place to kickflip just before the last Hoodlock before the green gem.

A while ago I made a video of the Hoodstomper Combo in CF part 4. It shows how to get the maximum score in CF. Unfortunately I had some background music going when I made the video, so the good people at YouTube wouldn't make it public.

Now, by courtesy of Danone who kindly removed the audio part from my video file, here it is:

I haven't been feeling inspired for improving my score in R3. My free time is also a bit more compressed than last year.

I'm saving my inspiration for Rayman Origins.

I'm not tired of playing R3, but I do take some long breaks due to a busy schedule. I'm still keen on finishing FC, making videos for BOM and improving my overall score a bit. I hope I can reach 859.000 points before too long. After that I'll probably make one last effort to see if 860.000 points will be doable or mission impossible. 860k would be totally awesome to reach.

As I can see with max. scores, the top score possible should be a bit more of 859.000

True. It would require raising the maximum scores for a few levels. But who says that's impossible?

Xenon and CC said that there could be a way for get more of 105k in TTOTL, so with it get 860 must be possible

I'd like to see them devise a way to do this. However, TOTL is one of the levels I will look into. I guess the answer lies in combining the various groups of Hoodflyers into one combo. So far I have been able get a combo of around 4.500 points, which is not enough to raise the maximum score. However, if one could get, say, a group of four Hoodflyers into the combo, then it would be a bonus of 600 points, so it's worth investigating. TOTL would be hell to play though.

My breaks in R3 are also quite big, but when I usually return for a score upgrading, it upgrades. :P

thanks for the congratz, appreciated :) and yes, i hope xenon won't take too long.

aw well,

1. hitting razoff 7 times in the room with the 4 yellow stones
2. ?????
3. profit!

well, im curios to see whether it's gonna be possible. who would have, prior to the roket-incident, assumed that the max of lotld could be further expanded? who knows what's yet left to discover, im certain its doable to push the boundaries a little bit further :)

and, great to see youre still playing, even if only slightly. i can refer to your schedule-problem.

concerning my progress, ive finished clearleaf forest now, unfortunately missing a few points to the highest attainable score. the kaag-combo is connected with so many error sources, it's unbelievable. if i would have gotten a 6 instead of 3 as a ending digit, it would have been much less of a torture. but, the world's enjoyable to play, hence i ain't worrying too much about it.

speaking of totl, im currently investigating the area and am trying to figure out whether more than the obligatory 104.499 can be achieved, despite pc-players not being especially advantaged with the lack of the lums-bug. if i recall correctly, i once got 5000 in the hoodflyer-combo, so now it's "just" a matter of finding the necessary points before finishing off with the combo :P
