huh, interesting. The only tutorial video I've watched was how to bridge models, and that was like a ten second video.Spanex wrote:I did box modeling with my Rayman model.that3Dguy wrote: box modeling by using a box or sphere and messing with the vertex till it looks like something and blueprint modeling by having a front view and side view of a picture and using splines to build it or bridge itBox modeling is even mentioned in those tutorials by 3DSMaxHowTos on Youtube.
Well I did sort of "shape model" Flips, I created each part (arm, hand, head etc) out of simple primitives then mesh-edited with the help of modifiers, so I think I use a hybrid. For Rayman's hair I used a little bit of the blueprint method.
Scarlet pad, I'd started on it, though I forgot. I'll pick it up again.

will to make a long story short that flips model looks like you built it corresponding to the meshRayFan9876 wrote:huh, interesting. My first (and lost) attempt at Rayman's hair was made from a box too. D:
But I'm going to try it again; after I finish your request and some games I've been meaning to 100%

Re: Rayman (1.5): Revenge of the Dark
Yes, I have! I'm trying out a new painterly method I've used on some personal concept art that turned out really nice. I just need to be careful with the detail, because the image needs to fit in a youtube video, so there will probably be some quality loss.RayFan9876 wrote: Awesome! Don't worry about losing details too much, I can modify it a bit if needed.Spanex wrote:Yes, I have! Re: Rayman (1.5): Revenge of the Dark
I'm currently just making black silhouettes out of the sketches I made now. This is part of the painting process. I make the 'lineart' by painting the colors on top of the silhouettes. You'll see WIPs later, once it's actually beginning to take shape.

Sounds great! Any idea for an estimation on how long it will take to finish? Sorry for the questions, this is just one of my most anticipated things at the moment.Spanex wrote:I'm currently just making black silhouettes out of the sketches I made now. I hope to finish most of it today. I have an idea for the background but I'm not sure yet how I'll get it done.RayFan9876 wrote: Sounds great! Any idea for an estimation on how long it will take to finish? Sorry for the questions, this is just one of my most anticipated things at the moment.
